To anyone having the bug where some skins appear in the mid of your screen while sneaking, On the bugs section of this file, it has been kinda fixed. I just commented a guide to fix it, and I hope it helps a bit, this is a good mod and only that was what was wrong for me.
Love the shoes but had a little trouble getting the body version to work; turns out there's an empty space before the Bodyslide output filename, which either the current version of Bodyslide, Windows 10 or my Mod Organizer was removing.
Fixed it by removing the space from both the Bodyslide output name and in the mod's ESP.
Hi, you can achieve this fairly easily. Warning though, you will not be able to modify the colorways because the game will not recognize the swapped shoes as being a part of my mod. All you have to do is:
1. Open up Outfit Studio 2. Navigate to "File" -> "Load Project" and search for the outfit with the shoes you want to switch. 3. Load it and delete the shoe mesh. If it's not separated, you'll have to mask the shoes and split the geometry, then delete the shoes 4. for to "File" -> "Import" -> "nif" and navigate to the folder with the shoe mesh 5. Delete the existing body geometry (Vanilla, CBBE, JaneBod, whatever body you use) and then load the Reference version of whatever body mod you use. 6. Go to "slider" -> "Conform all" and then re-save the project. 7. Re-open Bodyslide and then re-build the outfit
These are made entirely from scratch ; they're not a lazy port. They are high poly, especially the stitching, which is 3D and took me a very long time to do.
yeah for some reason i cant figure it out. in the description it says to build them in the studio, ive used the studio a lot but have never "made" anything with it. any help would be more than welcome thanks.
1. Download the file 2. Open the zip/rar and open the "Commonwealth Vans Era" folder 3. Drag the "Data" folder you see to your "Fallout 4" folder 4. Open up Bodyslide and look for "Commonwealth Vans" in the "Outfit/Body" drop down menu
Hi, there's some Old Skool High top ports in my JaneBod Outfits mod. I made these entirely from scratch, which is a lot of work. Making a High Tops with the level of fidelity I would like to see is both too time consuming and labor intensive for my limited schedule.
Uh, honestly, I don't know what the problem is. I haven't reviewed these files in so long and I'm not really active on the modding scene due to Blender being extremely limited in what it can do because of a lack of plugins and being too busy IRL to really support my fairly massive mods.
You really ought to at least change the name, because Vans have to protect their trademark by law. If they fail to DMCA this, they will lose their trademark. If you change the name, they might let it slide (but I doubt it).
that's only if there is some form of commission. this mod is entirely free. If that were true, most Sims and MMD models that provide real-world objects in a digital space would also be targeted. Stop hating, endorse, and keep it pushing.
There is no hate here, I'm trying to help you avoid future issues. You are conflating copyright and trademark. If you actually mess with a trademark like diluting it or placing it near artwork of a half naked girl or use it in any unauthorized way, the board will be committing a crime to not protect it's corporate trademark.
When it comes to them going to jail or hitting you with a cease and desist letter, which are they going to choose? If for example you named it Vins or Vanns or Xans or Rans etc. then they can chuckle and look the other way without breaking the law. They probably won't care about copyright (unless you add naked girl pics or charge money), but they are legally required to defend a trademark. They would use DMCA because it's the quickest method with the most teeth and nexus will pull anything that they receive a DMCA claim on without any discussion. Again, nexus would be breaking a law if they didn't. This issue isn't about being a nice guy, these are laws and they don't have the luxury to ignore them. You could HELP them skirt the laws, turn a blind eye and be that nice guy, but not when you actually use their trademark. Instead of an homage, you are infringing on their trademark. If you had just tweaked the name a bit to avoid a legal trademark, they hands are no longer tied.
For example, let's say I made a video on youtube and you had the sniffles and I handed you a Scott tissue while saying "Here's a Kleenex." If made aware of it, then BOTH companies would be required to have that video pulled and issue me a cease and desist letter. It sounds silly, but it's the law.
Personally, I have no dog in this fight and I really don't care. The odds are that Vans will never be made aware of it and you will live happily ever after, but if they are ever made aware, they'd have to act. Btw, it really is nice artwork.
Bro, I just looked up DMCA and it has literally nothing to do with what you're talking about. DMCA has to do with re-distributing digital media, services, etc produced by the original business at the expense of the original business; like hosting a free stream or torrenting. Not only were all logos publicly sourced, I made the meshes from scratch. If I were SELLING this mod or accepting donations, then that would be problematic because I would be making unauthorized profit through brand namesake, which I'm not. This is free promo for them.
As someone that's never applied for law school. I'll take that as a compliment. Thanks so much for contributing your professional knowledge and vast experience on this subject. I'm sure this thread is better for it.

You sound like a first year law student.
