I rarely use vanilla Stealth Boys, and why would I? They only last 30 seconds, and then they're gone. They're not very plentiful, and worth less than the back leg of a Giddyup Buttercup. So they mostly go unnoticed and unused in my play throughs. Seriously, Fallout 4 highly discourages a stealth player. Perks for stealth take forever to get, the Stealth Boy is a joke, and you need high level perks to make stealth weapons. By the time you're ready to play stealth, it's no longer worth it.
And you can see that's exactly as intended. They have you tromping around in power armor before your first hour of playing the game, and encourage perks that make louder, more powerful guns. I loved playing stealth "hunters" in Fallout 3 and Skyrim, but Fallout 4 makes that tough. So this is my...
