This mod is no longer supported.  I will not be providing bug fixes for this mod, or any of my other mods which use VotW.

So what are you trying to push on us now?

A collection of Xmas TV shows you can watch while getting a healthy dose of radiation, toasting marshmallows on an open fire and watching your settlers be completely inappropriate after drinking too much eggnog with vodka and getting under the mistletoe (there's probably a mod for that somewhere).  And one of them is 3D!  And you'll need Videos of the Wasteland.

The shows in Pack 1 are an Xmas episode of "A Date with the Angels", "Joe Santa Claus" and "Ozzie and Harriet - Xmas Tree Lot" (3D).

The show in Pack 2 is the 1955 TV version of The Miracle on 34th Street (this is NOT the earlier film version which isn't public domain).

3D?!?  Didn't those TVs fail?

Well no, or at least not in the Commonwealth, because they never actually existed.  This is anaglyph 3D which was made by adding blue and red colours onto the frame.  You wore these stupid glasses that had one red lense, and one blue lense (look here), and unless you're over the age of 35 you'll have never enjoyed the headaches and eyestrain this setup caused.  In fact the only reason they stopped being made was because the United Nations outlawed them as a cruel and unusual punishment, only just behind waterboarding, having your teeth broken and electric shocks to the testicles (although this is still available if you know the right people and your're into it - we're all friends here and no one is judging you).  Anyway, I don't have anaglyph glasses to hand so if anyone has any I'd love to know whether it works or not, although I'm guessing it probably doesn't.  Just take some acid or something and you won't notice the colours, mainly because you'll be screaming and terrified by the man size spiders attacking you (or is that Skyrim?).

Does this have projector support?

NO!!!!  Xmas is all about watching the TV together, not some stupid projector.  Projectors are for Powerpoint presentations and boring your friends to death with your holiday snaps (unless you take those types of holiday pics in which case can I have invite please?).  TVs are for Xmas (and life as well, just like puppies and kittens).

Yes (although pack 1 doesn't just yet), but I definitely won't be doing ones for Starlight because they would require too many reels.

Anything else we need to know?

Yep.  These decompress to crazy large sizes, despite being compressed quite well.  If you don't want to waste your disk space I won't hold it against you.  Much.

No legal stuff?

Of course.  These files are understood to be in the public domain and are used under a creative commons licence.  All files are also uploaded in good faith.

Is that it?

Actually, no.  It's Xmas and the time of year for people to spend time together.  There are however people, especially the elderly that don't have anyone, and don't get to see anyone over Xmas and probably don't have much of a reason to celebrate.  If you know someone like this, then ask them if they'd like some company over Xmas and pop in to see them, invite them round for Xmas dinner or even just make sure they're OK and don't need anything (and maybe try and keep it up regularly too).  You don't have to, but it would be cool if you did.

Also, if you or anyone you know is having a bit of a rough time, not just at Xmas, and might be contemplating suicide then check out this page of international suicide crisis hotlines.  There's no shame in it, a lot of people have been there at some point (myself included), and sometimes just talking can make you feel a whole lot better (thanks to MaxxFennig for raising this issue in the comments :) ).

Oh and have a great Xmas!
