A note on reddit: I recommend using https://www.reddit.com/r/Fallout_VR/ for discussion of Be Seated and Fallout 4 VR modding in general, the old subreddit has been taken over by a troll moderator named "xMindweaverx" who banned many great FO4 modders and community contributors.
It works with Frik now. As a matter of fact, use Frik instead of Smooth Movement VR as it has it built in. The only minor issue is your Avatar body doesn't sit properly. But it's hardly noticeable.
After a hard day of fighting Raiders and Mutants I like to find a nice spot to sit down and watch the sun go down.
The only minor issue I have is with the BeSeated Holotape. I can set the sneak threshold, but after that the options to set chair and bench height don't appear on the holotape and all I can do is set the sneak threshold. It's no big deal, I was just curious to see how much more immersion I could get if I matched my chair height, but the default has been sufficient.
One of the first mods I go to on a new game after a year or so away.
One of the first things I like to do is sit down with Nora at the start and get used to being just a man living at home with his wife and baby... before the crap begins! Codsworth does eventually shut up and then I can watch the tv! lol.
Hi again! I've encountered a bit of a conflict with the flyable personal vertibird. The mod author says that it should be as simple as adding a check to the script, so it does nothing in case of finding the isvertibird keyword.
The thing is that adding it into the script is not as easy as I thought, since the "beseated" scripts seem to "drink" brom the smoothmovement vr resources, so it dies when trying to recompile the edited script. Any idea? Scripts still are my worst enemy in skyrim and fo4 haha
I might try patching the old version of the mod. That one doesn't require smooth movement, which is good, since it also has a problem with the vertibirds and there's no way in hell I'll be able to tinker with that thing xD
EDIT:
Good news! The problems with the vertibird are not caused by be seated, sem to be exclusively by Smooth Movement. Reverting to the previous version of this mod shows no camera issues when boarding and flying a vertibird, in any of the positions available.
Still... since the old version of the mod alters the world scale... maybe the isvertibird check would still come in handy, since the flyable vertibird author says that he used to set the eye height in the vertibird by scaling the player but has no way to do it in VR (Or so I understood). This mod, however, changes the scale of the world when interacting with objects. Maybe there's something from this system he can use.
Ok, I also must add this. The Smooth Movement compatible version is very clearly supperior in functionality. I'm not trying to say that smooth movement vr is bad at all. It's kust that it conflicts with this specific mod.
Thank god you did this here as well! Could not stand to... well... "stand" on a chair.
I just wish I could use it without smooth movement. I don't like the ice skating feeling that mod gives, and the camera makes strange shakes that I don't experience without it. Guess I'll see if I can tweak the config document to neutralise it as much as possible...
Haha - yup. He really enjoys the modding work but is a little strapped for time these past few months, that said he has made some good progress on FRIK recently which I'm sure people will enjoy when it gets released.

We look forward to seeing there!
