Thank you four kind words As for adding objects - To be honest I do not kn ow apart from what you can equip. Such as weapons. It's been a long time since i played FO4. In New Vegas there are a couple of mods which include objects - such as coffee cups, a steak etc etc. But I do not know if such exists for FO4. I have not been able to find any at least. But if nothing else then Guide to 63 vanila animations will tell you how to call vanila animations - and stop them for shooting pics. The only other way I can think of is using the console for placing an object in the characters hands using the same console commands as you used for your character. It's a lot of work. But it can be done. And - not least- reach out to some of those who make the pose mods. I've found that if you ask nicely then people around here are very helpful
I had downloaded a posing mod recently, and being new to these kind of mods, I had no idea how to use the playidle command, and initially looking online for examples on how it worked didn't help; I reached out to the mod author and they suggested your tutorial, which was a BIG help and I got the poses to work! Screenshot 21 was the most helpful, and now I can pose my player character to my heart's content. Thanks so much for this tutorial! Much appreciated!
I'm trying to get a follower to pose with my character but every time I exit the console, collision kicks in and one of the actors gets pushed away. Is that supposed to happen and is there a way around that? Maybe I can spawn a copy of my character to pose instead lol.
It's been a while since I uninstalled FO4. But....... Let me assume that you have posed your characters as you want, using TFC to move around and getting everything just right. Then - when still in console: "TFC - Enter (Do NOT exit console!) This will take you out of ToggleFreeCamera - in which things can still move about. Water ripples, leaves, NPCs idling etc. "TFC1" - Enter. (Exit console) This should lock everyhting in place (Also water, leaves, NPCs idling etc) while still allowing you to move about for that perfect picture you set up. You may also try to experiment with the "TAI" (Toggle AI) command on those you posed - including your own character. Just remember to toggle it on again or you'll have those affected remin frozen when you want to commence playing. I hope this helps. Else feel free to PM me
thank you for putting instructions in the description ,, i have downloaded 3 pose mods with no instructions of use what so ever and was getting pissed off at these idiots because not one of them even mentioned that it had to be done through console commands ,, you put that in the description ,, thanks for being one of the select few with common sense ,, you ironed out my sanity,,,, thumbs up
Thank you very much Willdabeast. Much appreciated I'm happy you find it useful. Poses and using them is so much fun. But it can also be incredibly frustrating trying to figure out things all by yourself. There are some good guides around. But over time I noticed people asking over an over again how to do these kind of pics. And - as you say- some of the pose packs are really well done. If you know how to do it. Perhaps some experienced people forget that they too were newbies once. And you cannot know everything right from the start.
Thank you so very much Bernt....you would not believe the frustration I have had trying to do this....and the only step i was missing seems to have been the <tai> command to stop the actors popping out of position. You are a Gentleman and a Scholar!
Sorry for being late LW I saw your comment all right. But forgot to asner to it back then But I appreciate it a lot I've learnt a lot from other people here over the years. If I can give just a little tiny bit back using whatever skills I've got, I think it's the least I can do
A most excellent guide for sure. I've been taking screenies as long as I've been a gamer so I do know most of these already. About the only thing missing is a positive movement direction pointer. That would be super usefull, as you could tell in an instant where the movement will take the selected item.
Thank you very much for the compliment Parrothead. Much appreciated Yes - arrows would be very useful indeed. That's why I always start out with "Modpos 10". Just to get the direction of movement.
Thank you Radbeetle Much appreciated. Without your - and other modders - hard work, posing would be much more of a hazzle. And very much limited instead of the - almost- endless possibilities you provide us with. The least I can do is to point people to your mods
Fantastic tutorial Someone needs to make a pose editor that works in-game fo4, something similar to how 3d-Sexvilla did it, where you can edit the poses and then save it to hkx files in game.
Thank you very much Lazman Funny that you mention it. Dazaster just said something along those lines on the comments to my latest picture. Like minds etc etc And you are right. It would make things a lot easier.
