So I guess I'll finally try this one out.

"Protectron" as the name sais, can't protect anything and far less anyone since they are tooo weak and even toooooooooo fast dead- and of all toooooooooooooooooooo slow to even get started, like they still got a penthium 4 stone age CPU...

I'm now trying the 100 times on survival to NOT get biten by the f***ing molerat in that Vaul quest to not getting the desease...
There is one Protectron which bassically could go first and clear the area,- but as always is completely useless after all... Because not only it takes 2 years to reach even the molerat area, but also taking far too long to start shooting, and the molerats already gone underground or attacking before the Bot will fight back.

This is a Godsend of a mod. And Hole In The Wall is a truly cursed mission, it was even worse years ago.

My girlfriend hit the one in Super Duper Mart. She couldn't move fast enough to get behind cover. Watching that robot chase her toon down and explode her was hilarious. The "Oh sh*t! I didn't know they could go that fast!" was worth it alone. I expect to probably die a lot from these jokers now. I have a whole area where about 2-3 spawn in groups. That should be hell to get past.

    Hi PhanomGames,

I need your help! I uninstalled your mod, but the Protectrons are still walking fast! Do you (or anyone else) know how to revert them back to vanilla speed?
I want to use the 2x Speed Version, but the Protectrons are still stuck on 3x Speed.
Let me know if you need more info. I do not have any other Protectron Mods installed.

NEVER uninstall mods mid-play, or ever unless you're going to start a new game.  That's just RULE 1 in modding.  If you do, you will experience problems.

If you merely want to change their speed, then join the rest of us struggling players and learn to use xEdit and change the speed variables yourself.  Not being mean, just telling it like it is.  I haven't looked at the files here yet, but if there is another speed version, I'd just install it over the top of the one you don't want and replace (overwrite) and maybe that would work.

I think this mod is awesome. I always thought the Protectrons were totally lame. In my first play-through I snuck around activating them whenever i could, but I learned they were pretty useless and died quickly. NOT ANYMORE! That one in Super Duper Mart tears through ALL those ghouls (and I have two different mods that enhance & add extra ghouls). Those three in Faneuil Hall go to war with those mutants!

But the best is Ada... no matter what you turn her into, this mod still considers her a Protectron because of her initial legs. So even when you change those once-slow stubby legs into assaultron legs she keep the speed increase... and it gets added to the assualtron's already fast speed. I also use a mod Humanoid Assaultrons, which also makes the vanilla assualtrons a bit faster than the vanilla or Automatorn ones, and when I slap those parts on her hilarity ensues. She is literally moving too fast for her AI to handle and runs around like a lunatic. Its funny as hell. She runs off bridges, rooftops, cliffs, etc - its so satisfying to see her launch herself into the air and just disappear... only to reappear behind me a few seconds later. She's like the Tasmanian Devil on Cocaine.

It does, however, get annoying after awhile. You can't sneak up on anything. She runs right past you and agro's the baddies (that she also runs right past on her way to the nethereaches). Still funny as heck, though.

    Endorsed

EDIT: Actually I don't think those 'Humanoid' parts are the reason why Ada's The Flash - I also use the Faster Sprint Speed mod, and after reading that page I found that it affects everything that sprints, and this increases her speed by an additional 50% (over the fact that this mod increases the speed, and then changing her legs to assaultron increases her speed). So if you want to have a really good laugh you'll need that mod as well. 'Robo-Flash'

I am having the same problem here. Ada is just too fast that she can't even control her own speed. She just runs off too far and stands there because her combat AI can't relocate where the enemies are. So eventually I have to fight by myself until she relocates the enemy and hopefully come back from middle of no where.

I admit to converting the .esp to an ESL using the Creation Kit. It works fine.

Agreed. I do agree it's completely called for, just like Faster Deathclaws.

Added a video. They pretty much move at human running speed, and do enough damage to now consistently hold their own against raiders.

A report on Fast and Deadly Protectrons. The three in Faneuil Hall actually took down a few of the Super Mutants in there when I was running a rescue for the farmer at Nordhagen Beach. And I use Super Mutant Redux, so that's actually saying a lot.

Small request: Any chance you could make do just slight tweaks to my favourite robots?
2x speed and slightly longer attack and engagement times (but still a bit faster than vanilla)

    If not, it's no problem

Dude that video was epic to watch, it was like watching the most intense robot army destroy entirely the human race, they looked epic. I wish I can bottle your video and put it in my pocket to watch whenever o_o

IMO the best part is you can see Codsworth standing around waiting for me to talk to him.

      Fun facts:
I died twice trying to get there by jumping off the mountain.
The protectrons are enemies to me because I kept hitting them when alt tabbing to look up NPC id's
