I know it's a necro, but it's still helpful for those looking in the posts. If you give the tesla rifle to a companion at all (even IF you take it away from them), they will start making the gauss rifle charging noise and subsequent charged idle noise in your save forever. The UFO4P doesn't fix this issue, because there honestly probably isn't one. That, or it's such a niche bug that it flies under the radar.
I would think so, but I'm not sure. You'd have to find out what the audio file is called and replace it with a silent file like this one. Unfortunately I do not know where to look for that, I'm sorry.
I have a similar issue with the DLC Tesla Rifle whenever I give it to a companion. The sound it emits gets “stuck” on them and keeps playing even if the gun is holstered or you take it away from them. Does any1 have a solution for that?
Oh god, finally there is a fix. I encountered this problem only in my current 9th playing. Whoever equip gauss rifle emit that annoying sound! Thanks for making the mod.
