man imagine the mess of recievers if someone made a version to include 10mm and munitions/maa pistol calibers
    thompson would be chambered in:
    .22, .32, .38, .40, .45, 6.5, 7.62 Tokarev, 9x18, 9x19, 10mm and 12.7mm (maybe not)

Hello,is there a version where it does not decrease submachinegun weight(keep it at 7)?

Hi! I might (no promises tho!) dig into that again and add a default weight version if needed. I haven't look into this for quite a long time so can't remember surely, default game gun had weight of 15 more or less, while, If I remember correctly (and judjing by screenshots), mod keeps it somewhat around 7 points of weight if thats what you meant.

Sorry for a very late response, what I mean was a version that only adds new .38 receivers and no other changes to the submachine gun (which also means no weight reduction and no damage increase to the weapon),thanks for replying.

Hey I just want to tell you that I just publish my tweaks of your mod ( https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/76271?tab=description ) so you don't have to.
So now I am asking for your permission to publish my tweaks mod and if I don't have your permission,I will take it down.

The damage option isnt working for me, standard sub machine has 15 damage instead of 20.

Notice that Base damage is the value that game adjusts according to weapon upgrades you have, and default reciever upgrade does -25% to damage so instead of 20 base damage you'll have 15 points. I guess thats the reason.

I think that an optional damage file would be a good inclusion as for the submachine gun to compete with some of the custom smg mods out there id think that the base damage would have to be in the 20s, 25s.

You know what? Instead of complaining about how the Thompson was never made in .38, I could instead reference the fact that Thompson did toy around with some other cartridges and given the commonality of .38 and the relative rareness of .45 it makes total sense for a weapon that chews through ammo to be chambered in a more common cartridge. We can just pretend the .38 is just renamed 9x19mm Parabellum.

Indeed. Fun thing is .38 is actually a 9mm if translate to metric system.

Cool, thank you. Never found the submachine gun worthwhile in vanilla form, despite liking the way it looks/sounds.

Is it just me or are those the Fallout 76 textures?

Just you i guess, as they pretty much default. Bethesda could also use same textures in Fallout 76 :)
