I don't think 12 pounds is ridiculous at all. But, If you look at size and shape of it plus that it weighs 12 pounds, explosion should be far bigger.
If you think of C4 explosion to weight ratio, it doesn't make sense that a nuclear bomb would weigh 12 pounds and produce such a small explosion. I guess the casing is very heavy..
For me, I would rather see mods that either change mesh sizes with the weight, or increase the lethality, like adding a Radiation marker to the placed explosion that deals extremely high rads for a tapering period of time as well as an over all damage increase and making the explosion damage travel through walls.
But yes, sometimes the heavy ammo might seem too heavy if you like to carry a large amount of it.
