Okay, I've completed the Vault 81 mission. Now where exactly can I create the medicine for the mole rat disease? Is that the entry at the cooking fire, the one with melon, flowers and water? If so, do I need to do anything else besides completing the mission? Because all the entries are grayed out.
Kudos to you for this mod. I completely support anything that does away with the "HAHAHA, you have to make a moral choice that only has TWO possible outcomes because everyone in the game is dumb!" motif that can be found in all Bethesda games. Doubly so, for those times when you get the freaking disease, even though the molerats attacked your ROBOTIC follower!
Oh, it's even WORSE! Somehow you can dig through the rats' guts butchering them for their meat and that doesn't give you the disease! How is that even remotely realistic!?! Your robot gets bite you get the disease that the robot is immune too but dig in the guts of the rats and your fine.
I understand what he means by that it's stupid that you cant just make a new cure, ESPESHALY since you have curie as a comanion so why cant she tell you would need to make thr cure, right.
I just avoided getting bitten by a molerat while doing it (Dont come in with your followers! From what i know, if they bite them, you will get infected)
Followers, the Protectron, any non-hostile. You can all be in power armor and it'll still happen. Bethesda is so on love with that "moral choice" that they will never in a million years fix the bug.
For everyone that tried the cure and found it not working, the problem is the injection animation.
The secret is to be in *1st-Person* so the animation isn't even an issue!
Do that, and that &^&% ^&*(%^&*(%^( f choice-forcer of a disease will be gone.
(Personally, I save Austin Engil. And I enjoy not being punished for it by a game whose developers absolutely refuse to fix the bug that makes it almost impossible to avoid getting Molerat Disease!)
Now someone needs to make a mod that adds "Curative Stimpacks" named after curie once you complete her quest, so she gives you the new improved stimpacks she claims she found out how to make but you never get. Does the same thing as a stimpack just does it faster or something.
Personally, i would also love that piper had the acolyte of atom interaction she talks about too. Or some perk, that made her effective against radiation.
I'm late to this party and hope someone can help me out here. I have been playing fairly okay with my newest survival playthrough, I am a nice person who decided since I got this mod I'd give Austin that cure. after crafting my own, later in the game mind you, about 20-30 seconds after using the cure my game proceeded to crash. I'm wondering if this has happened to anyone else and if also there's a workaround. I'm using the version where I need to complete the quest and my save games are well, being quite broken (they don't show in my game when loading, this is a recent bug I have to work out ) but going back isn't an option and I'd rather not start over...again if I can help it.
