ASCII and ye shall receive. Now you can craft Night Vision Juice from carrots at any cooking station. Chugging a vial will pop up a menu that lets you turn it permanently on, permanently off, or back to adaptive/automatic. Well, "permanently" meaning until you chug the next vial of juice, and get to change the setting again.

I know this is  a old mod so, but anyone looking. I can adjust the brightness of outer cells by adjusting nightpersonperkimodon, but inner cells are still very dark anyone know how to adjust brightness for inner cells?

The effect is good at night, but the indoor light is too bright

Does this work with the West Tek Tactical Optics mod?

I'm trying to use your mod with Darker Nights. To clarify a post below, the Darker Nights page says this should work fine as long as the alternate night vision plugin from Darker Nights isn't also activated. My problem is that I need Better Night Vision somewhat brighter to avoid having to turn on my flashlight when outdoors. Could you please advise me on what settings to change in FO4Edit in order to make it even brighter when on? Thank you.

Is there a way to change the times that the auto setting toggles the script?

      I just did this:
Open FO4Edit (https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/2737) and find betternightvision.esp>spell>effects>conditions(#1 and #2) change the numbers 6(am) and 19(pm) to your liking: save changes. I changed 19 to 21. Then deploy changes in your mod manager.

Hey I have a problem. Whenever I use your potion it only actives for like 5 secs. Any suggestion why?

5 seconds sounds too long ;)

The magic effect isn't in the potion. Well, sorta. All the potion does is pop up the config menu, and whichever option you choose will put a permanent perk on you that does the actual night vision. At which point the potion did its job and isn't needed any more. Well, until you want to change the configuration again.

Basically, as the cliche goes, the magic was in you all along ;)

    Hello Moraelin
I'm not sure I'm seeing the mod right , i was using wes tek goggles, as I darker nights mod, and looked / downloaded this as an alternative , since I like what I saw in teh screenshots, ...
I crafted 30 bottles of night juice, and set them to key 8 to better access them ..
If I hit 8 the message still pops and automatically is highlighted ( be default I think ) so I leave it at that but then in a matter of seconds the " night juice effect has worn off " ??
so while taking a drink I might quickly see something but then a message pops blocking any view or not , once I make a selection I Dont see any difference
Is this perk required ? my characters lv 32 with only one point in night-vision 4 points in sneak, ( likes to play sneaky type always ) , also I did read other postings and where you suggest using this ae / awckr mod
Might also want to try this one: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/8493

The optional file sounds like it should work with my night vision.
but for the moment I dont want to use any mod that has high light targeting, just want to use something like a night vision , occasionally I suffer from grape menta's bug or a dam highlight glitch where everyone's highlighted in red and annoys the heck outta me ..
So I dont know what I'm doing wrong here why it wont stay the shade the juice gives me at night and the effects wear off in a matter of seconds

Re Edited Ok now I'm seeing the effect , I dont use enb's ever, so might be why its not a bright ish looking like the screenshots, and have started to see the effect after getting rank 2 in night person tho.. the mod'd working ok now but need something a little more , ... so thanks for mod , glad it was there..

That the juice wears off is normal, since the juice only has to pop up the menu. Basically the juice doesn't really have the night vision effect, it only has the effect of popping up the menu. If it wears off after popping up the menu, well, it no longer matters.

The problem in your case seems to be that the menu doesn't appear. Are you sure the script is installed too? Because especially if you need the perk, then it sounds like nothing from my script is actually working there.

      My bad...
Thanks for reply tho, will still keep this in mind if I'm not using dn mod ..

Actually, I've used it together with darker nights all right before. It may have been an older version, though.

Would you consider adding a fourth option for having night vision only when sneaking at night, just like intended in the night person perk?

Hmm, well, I suppose it wouldn't be too hard. I'm not personally seeing much difference in whether it's too dark to see, based on whether I'm sneaking or not, but it's not hard to implement either.

Ok, so I made an alternate esp with only the imagespace edit, but no new scripts or anything. Basically a brighter vanilla. Please make sure you disable the night vision first if you're switching between the two versions.
