I am currently investigating compatibility between New Recipes and CHEF.
So far I haven't found any compatibility issues, particularly the one discussed in a thread below detailing an issue with dried meats. I will continue to investigate and will put info here if/when I can come to a conclusion.
Aug 02, 2024 - Put in some hours and have yet to find a compatibility issue. So far it looks fine to me.
I've made a Mandarin translation for this mod. However, I only know how to translate mods into other languages instead of making another esp translation file, so I can only upload a Mandarin version of this mod WITHOUT using this mod as a requirement. If I upload, I will mark clearly on the description page the real author and attach a link to this mod. Is that ok with you? Also, I would like to post this translation on a Chinese Fallout forum for people who get a hard time surfing Nexus (which is sometimes a problem here), and if I do so I will mark& attach this mod as well, may I get your permission to do so? I really like it, thanks for the mod!
Hi, any chance to make this compatible with CHEF? I love the recipes from both mods but unfortunately this seems to make the meats no longer works on the meat racks in CHEF, as if the meat is different now..
I've been away for a while, I'll check out CHEF and see if there is a fix that makes sense.
You could try load order; load my mod first then load CHEF and see if that adds/overwrites the proper files to fix it. That's best guess without actually looking at the code yet.
Totally random, but does anyone know why there was a huge uptick on downloads around April 2022 for this plugin? I'd like to give credit where credit is due.
Would you consider releasing an AIO version of the plugins...? I tried merging myself but zMerge doesn't like esls :/
Edit: thanks for the mod. Loving the new recipes, but you should probably let people know you're editing the leveled lists with more antibiotics (and for some reason the military-grade circuit board) etc in the description since it's a question of compatibility and gameplay. I myself prefer antibiotics to be very rare so I had to remove those entries. Just a suggestion. It kind of goes outside the scope of a food mod :)
I understand the annoyance of having up to 3 esl files for one plugin. I originally tried to merge all 3 into 1 using the Creation Kit but it freaked out over multiple master files and wouldn't let me do it, so I ended up creating 1 esl for each game esm. As for the antibiotics and the circuit board, those are accidental holdovers from some tweaks I was making a long time ago that I just forgot to remove from this plugin. I'll likely remove them with a future update if I remember (this should be a good reminder though). I hope you enjoy the mod!
Thanks for the clarification. I can send you the edited plugin if you want. I've made them all eslified esps though because I don't want them esls in most cases.
No need to send me the plugin, I can handle the changes But just out of curiosity, why don't you want esl files? Is it a load order thing, or something else? I figured esl files were nice since they don't count towards the esp limit. Because what I could do is add esp files to the FOMOD installer and let people choose which format they want, I just never figured someone would prefer an esp to the esl format.
I want the ESLflag but I want them ESPS, hence eslified esps ESPs with the esl flag will adhere to the esp load order while esls are limited and therefore more difficult to handle. You can actually just rename esls to esps and it'll work as intended.
Load order flexibility helps a plugin... actually plug in more thoroughly. I have ESL-flagged esp plugins right at the bottom of my load order as that's honestly what's called for.
Hi! Just wanted to thank you for this mod. It is completely compatible out of the box with the VIS G item sorting mod. It is a must have for a nice survival play-through. Thank you again for the mod!!
Hello do you have a real survival food recipe? Without adding ton of regen health and perk bonus, just a food recipes nothing other. Or a link to another mod that do that
two questions. is anything new added for the re-release, or is it the same as the original 'new recipes'? second, are you going to continue development of this mod? having an ESL version with more recipes would be nice to have.
I in fact just released an esl version. So download the latest version and it should install the esl file. I'm not sure how this new vortex system works, so you may have to manually delete the old esp file, but vortex might take care of that for you. Oh, and otherwise there are no new additions to the recipes, just a change to esl.

Thanks for the mod. Works great!
For me default leaves it default and VIS removes them (guess because it trying to use VIS and not Vis G).
I have made a patch for Horizon 1.7.6, I would like to send you a link to the file so others can benefit from it as well.
Please stand by.
