    "For depressed wanderers..."
Seriously, the only depressing thing about this mod is the author slapping a b&w preset on this and calling it "noir."
Do they even know what Noir is, or did they only see a picture on the internet and think that's all there is to it?
    Sorely disappointed.

I did everything as the insturctions say but my game always crashes on launch. Any idea why?

Hey there, love the mod. I would recommend having a reminder set of hotkeys for toggling and settings (even though support of someone elses mod is not your job.), and an uninstalling step by step.

    Hello,

I am a fan and love this preset, but it took a little troubleshooting on my part to get it to work. First I had to go to this link: "https://sfx.thelazy.net/downloads/", and download SweetFX 2.0 (Preview 8 | ReShade 1.0.0) at the top of the list. Next after some research I coped that download's main files into Fallout 4's steam directory. Then I copied the SweetFX_settings.txt from your download and overwrote the one located in the SweetFX file now in Fallout 4 directory. Also you have to delete the ReShade32.dll and rename the ReShade64.dll to dxgi.dll for it to install properly. The README file will explain why, and I think that's the only way this preset will work if you don't have SweetFX / Reshade installed already. Thanks for the awesome mod, and I look forward to what you release next.

Hey f5uck, really cool preset you got here! I covered the mod in my video - linked below - with coverage of Fallout Noire beginning at 0:28. Keep up the great work - endorsed!

I have no idea if this is possible, but it would be great if the black&white effect only applied to the world, leaving the HUD colored.
Or maybe only leave the blood red, some lights in green, that kind of effect.

I was thinking to do that (blood red) but i think it's not possible at game's current state or with SwetFX/ReShade (it works like an instagram filter). We got to be able to edit the game on a complicated level. And Bethesda doesn't let us right now. But i'll follow the updates for it.

Nice but Steam screenshots doesn't capture the effect.

Yes, it's probably related to SweetFX working mechanism. It works like an external overlay. So when you take a screenshot via Steam, Steam only sees the base game. I've change to settings to windowed fullscreen and used another software to take screenshots.

Long story short, i don't know how to take a proper screenshot when the mod is active.

      In SweetFX\Global_Settings.txt:

#define ReShade_Screenshot_Format 2//[1 or 2] Sets the screenshot format (1 = bmp, 2 = png) You can take screenshots by pressing PrintScreen

At least with the config I'm using, this works. PrintScreen takes a screenshot from the SweetFX level of rendering, and drops it into the main Fallout 4 folder alongside the SweetFX content.

If you want to upload to Steam's cloud however, you have to take an extra step. If you take a screenshot from Fallout 4 the usual way, you can then go to the main Steam window, View, Screenshots. Find Fallout 4 from the dropdown menu. There will be a "SHOW ON DISK" button at the bottom, which you can use to open your folder for Steam's Fallout 4 screenshots. From there, take the screenshots you made with SweetFX and the PrintScreen button and copy them into both the "Screenshots" and "Thumbnails" folder. They should show up in Steam's Fallout 4 screenshots window (might need to close it and reopen), and you can upload them from there.

It's a lot more complicated than just hitting the button for Steam's version, but at least it preserves SweetFX!
