Good idea ! I want it that way, because i love the "studio" style without walls but i can try to build walls (in a non-Trump way.), to give the impression of an actual house and not an appartment... Mh... Something to think about, i don't have the idea because i love to live in shoes boxes xD
Huh ? I can identify any item to scrap on my screenshot dude, the picture isn't BLACK, she's nearly grey. Maybe you should check your screen brightness, it could help... And i agree i'm an a**hole, but a proud a**hole. Because my screens are not that bad, and because the settlement is made to be post-apocalyptic. Night is more dramatic, so it's a way to show off things. And because i use Dustbowl my days are way too bright to make good screenshots. Next time buy a pair of glasses before commenting and insult people :-) Peace.

Shows a picture of two red circles on a nearly indecipherable, overly-dark screen.
Hint for the future: if you want to show off your settlement build, take lots of pics in the daytime, when you can actually see shit.
