Hey guys,I don't play the game anymore so if you have any problems still with the mods (I bet since it's heavily outdated by now) please ask around in the comments to see if anyone else could help you. You are also free to fix the mod, modify it in any way shape or form, use it in your compilations or whatnot. You do not have to ask for permission as long as you give credit.
Btw guys i figured out how to fix the preset if you guys encounter any problems with *most* configurations, if you guys are mixing together any cocktails of face meshes with this preset. This is going to be long-winded, but guess what, this brown face bug needs to be buried for good once-and-for-all:
1. Make sure to match the texture mod equally for the :body/face/actor-related FXeffects(i.e. blood/water): w/ only one single set of unique quality promised in their resolutions (HD DLC/2k/4k) for the least amount of errors.
2a. If your mods primarily uses HD DLC as the base, make sure to use both the "High Res DLC Black Face Fix" + "Looks Menu Compendium HD-DLC fix" (optional patch in LooksMenu Comp). These files are *meant* to be overwritten. They only serve the purpose of replacing loose vanilla files with Looksmenu supported vanilla meshes.
2b. If your mods use 2k/4k textures, *only* use the Looks Menu Compendium 2k fix.
3. Make sure even minor detail mods like brows/eyes/makeup are preferably the same resolution preference (vanilla HD DLC vs 2k/4k). For anyone choosing the mod THbrows (I mention it cuz it's the most popular among presets and search results), the newest version 1.3 is very goofy and breaks a lot of popular presets (the 2k option works ok when presets matches the profile of 2k/4k options, pair your 2k meshes at your own risk) No fear tho for vanilla/HD-DLC users or just all-arounders that want to sacrifice quality for stability, version 1.2 exists, and can be found on the Joogles, reddits, and Loverslab forums.
4. If all else fails, and your character still looks like an Easter-holiday tarnation melting-under-the-sun, then refer to the mod "Rusty Face Fix"; it'll make sure the brown face is gone for good, and also fix known situations in-game when sudden brown-face swaps happen even when everything seemed to be working for twenty odd minutes.
5a. Does all the color match all nicely, but LooksMenu is being dumb and the little things bug you, like eyes being set at an angle fit for a mongoloid or the eyebrows being missing, most likely hiding from some bugged object reference that is now just stored in a memory cache in limbo? Just do the obvious: go in game, choose and edit the preset for your character/Follower using showLooksMenu "ObjectID" (By default, your character is xxxxxx14, just look up your NPC / follower if you wish to edit them too.
5b. When you're done, save your game, then use FaceRipper and follow the instructions on their page to export facegen data from your Save (C:\Users\Kolibri\Documents\My Games\Fallout4\Saves) into Preset data for Looksmenu (Fallout 4\F4SE\Plugins\F4EE\Presets). Remember to use a different name for your different preset if you are storing in the main Fallout 4 directory, or do the right thing and overwrite the assets in the Vortex mod deployment folder (E:\Users\Admin\AppData\Roaming\Vortex\fallout4\mods). You really don't want to be doing this step all over again.
Voila, we did it. We made a broken feature work again. Goddamn you Todd.
i just downloaded this mod because of her sad look in one of the pictures, but all of the hairs from the mischairstyles mods wont show leaving her bald.
For those having bronw face bug - Use Real HD Face 2K - need f4ee to have ini 2K setting - Appealing Moles 2.0 - 1K Texture Only - must be 2K - deLuxe Makeup - 2K Compat Texture Only - 2K Kirs Freckles latest port on the nexus.
I found that this mod only works if I use Real HD Face Textures, but due to other reasons I can't use that texture pack for my character. Is there anyway to make this mod work with Valkyr face textures? I'm using the horizon patch version Genuinely tried everything at this point
