A very interesting build area, with the prebuilt Covenant house and the rough terrain. That "pool of fire" is hilariously radioactive - my character takes less than a rad per second in the middle of the Glowing Sea, but get within five feet of that glowing menace and I'm suddenly baking at 15-20 rads per second.

The lack of visible build borders is a little bothersome, but at least the fences on two sides of the settlement show where the border is in those directions.

I thought I built fences all over the settlement, not just two sides.  And I know that pond is extra deadly, I left it to be there just for it's eerie beauty.

Anyway, have fun with this settlement!  :)

It´s really a nice location, one of my favorites. But is there a trick to start the settlement? At first i build some walls, gard towers and turrets around the main House with energy and a recruting signal, , a water pump and food, then a workshop, a small town with another recruting signal (it´s so big) and at least i start to build the first buildings for the marketplace.

But stop where is my gastronomy? It´s not longer in my buildingmenu...and in the hours of building around there is still no settler and with the recruting signal at the marketplace i have 3 now. But i made the mainhouse to a castle with automatic doors (Contraptions Workshop) which can only can opened from inside so i have no choice and i spawned me a settler.

The spawnd settler is there, no Problem, but when i open the buildingmenu there are still sero settlers and i cannot give him any work. I leave him in the "castle" and go to Somerville Place and tryed to send 3 Settlers and i can chose it in the menu to send them, but 2 days later they are still in Somerville and no settlers in Fire Pool Manor, i am so sad. I wanted to build my own city with real shops and arena (wasteland workshop) for fighting and much more.

This type of problem arises occasionally for people. Reasons are outside my MOD's and in the combination of MOD's used in game. I strongly recommend to check as fast as you have 'conquered' (you did this, right?) the settlement to build the recruiting to check that it works. It's like 50% happiness, you likely need to return to earlier save and try again. Most usual fix then is changing the load order.. There are other fixes also, but I'd really try Load Order first.

This is all the advice I can give. I am sorry that your good work has gone wasted but consider it test run and now you can build even better version of town here!

      Hey Ragoda,

thank you for your help. My englisch is not perfect but i hope it´s enough to explain my Problems.

What do you mean with conquered and done it right? I go to the south search the entrance and then shot the Deathclaw with my new MG 42 Maschinegun (yes it´s a Mod). And then i was able to build there and start my new settlement. The happyness is in firepool Manor at 42 % and didn´t change since i have installed it, but the people have everything what they need includind 2 Bar´s.

But i have to give an update: When it doesn´t work to start the setttlement i decided to go on with my game and i dont know why but i think 3 or 4 Days later surprise, surprise, it work´s (nearly). It was the same with the gastronomy. After i can´t build the gastronomy in firepool manor i can´t build gastronomy in my other setttlements also, but a few days later it works. But it´s still a phenomenon, when i opend the building menu in firepool the gastronomy is there, but when i just change to another shop and want to change back to gastronomy it´s gone away.

I have only one Problem left, when i go to the shops to deal with them they only say "Was?", Was? (german for What?) It´s not possible to trade with them or something else in the shop, but when they have free time i can exchange with them.

I don´t know why i can´t send more settlers there in the moment. I read that the maximum of settlers in fallout is 10 + Charisma so maximum 21 Settlers, but that cannot by right. I have 29 Settlers in Sanctuary Hills (without my Sanctuary Hot Springs and Santuary Basement Bunker Mods), 24 or 25 in the castle, 22 or 23 in the Firepool Manor

The only thing that sucks at fallout 4 is that there are often Bugs in the settlement list and shows often problems in my settlements (no beds, no water, no food, no brain) and when i travel there everything is okay. But these Bug Problems i have since the beginning of the game, before i installed my first mod or DLC.

But a other question, would it help you when i can tell you which mods i have installed? I think it were only 4 or 5 before i installed firepool Manor...

So, lets go one by one:

      - To 'Conquer' a settlement I want you to walk to Workshop and activate it, not just start using Workshop mode without doing that first!
      - Shops work the better the closer to Workshop they are!
      - I don't know which MOD's affect other MOD's and how, if any way, sorry, so I can't help you even if I know what MOD's you have. However, since you have that few, you can relatively easily check IF any of them affects the behavior of others by one by one deactivating them and checking if things get better.

      All best gaming!

I'm going to check this one out!

FYI in the description you say this is Southwest of the Natick Power Plant, but really it is Southeast. :)

Oops, I better fix that, LOL, thanx!

I did this one because the place has always caught my eye with it's eerie beauty.

Being on the edge of the Glowing Sea always is so alluring. The ever-present danger of stumbling 1 foot over an invisible line into the radioactive area and trigger the 'true storms' ghoul storm automatically (regardless if you're building or not), is always adding to the challenge. It wouldn't be fun if there wasn't always something trying to murder us while in build mode. Can't tell you how many times I've died in the build mode, but thankfully it's more than I've crashed (*note, for clarification, these mods don't cause crashes, Bethesda's sloppy error handling does, thankfully the unofficial Fallout 4 patch fixes a lot of the script-drowning-itself issues coming with using multiple settlement mods, especially those nearby one-another).

Good to see you're still modding here. Thankfully I backed up my Fallout 4 and mods (still on a version of the game from like a year ago - but it's backed up anyways). I lost my entire C: drive File Allocation Table on my main RAID array of SSD's here 3 days post-Chris Mess. Lost only a week or so of work, not a biggy though I have backups.
I have been busy building an entire city in a driving simulator (BeamNG, Los Injurus map, rather buried on the forums), but sometimes I like a break from building things (Like the Frederick Douglas towers from the Brewster-Douglas towers in Detroit, now demolished, what I am currently building).
Your settlement mods are always tops. Keep up the great work. I will get back into this one of these days, though have a bit of itching for New Vegas with AWOP mod and some others as of late to be honest.

Nothing like seeing an enemy and being glad I armed all my settlers with CAT LAUNCHERS (nuke weapon mod CAT LAUNCHER), and then accidentally getting blown up by them in the crossfire because a eensy-weensy wittle bug got too close to the settlement... ARGH!
      --Cheers!

This place is very nice, thnx a lot for your work. One small point - how to remove radiation from former energy plant, it is a little bit disturbing to live in such dangerous place, I am not a ghoul and not a child of atom either ? And my pour settlers, I cry over them.

The radiation is limited to fire lake, is there some reason you need that lake for building?

It is necessary to remove radiation from the mode and not only from this.

He is something. When I went to the site there was already 1 bed registering, but it was a mattress that was floating in the air for me. The link is a steam screen shot of the location.

I could fly up to it and land on it, and that let me scrap it, but I thought you might want to see that. :) For what it is worth, if you can get to it, it is a nice view from your bed.
