Thank you so much for sharing. Not only do i love this mod, but the poor souls losing their minds in your comments is GOLD. Thank you.
To anyone who reads this: I cut the alien out of Zorkaz's "The Sewers" for my own use as well. Because they look ridiculous. And i LOOOOVE how REALISTIC my fallout game is with the right mods. Its honestly a 100% perfect SIMULATOR also, what is "stalker"? sounds boring af xoxo, love ya <3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3
UFO's are not out of place at all if you have played any of the other Fallout Tittles... Aliens are part of the Fallout Universe.... and pretty much have always been so... there was even a whole Fo3 DLC that was specifically about Aliens....
i would love to see a F04 or FO76 DLC that deals specifically with a full scale alien Zetan invasion and the major factions like BOS and NCR must work together to fight them off
They were supposed to be easter eggs.Bethesda apparently forgot that ,which is why they added garbage like the FO3 DLC.By your logic Star Trek and the Federation are canon as well.
I just found this mod and i like the idea of getting rid of the goofy sci fi alien and its ship yes E.T's do exist but they are nothing like this games twerp despite all the fors and againsts its damn nice to have the choice, thank you wisetime
Thanks for the mod, While i find no problem with aliens in the setting, i am building a more gritty moded playtrough and the alien model design is just so godamn cartoony it becomes jarring in my game.
I looked around but could not find any good texture or model replacers for the aliens, So i guess this will sufice.
Thanks for the mod. It's not the fact that there are aliens that bothers me, it's that your character stumbles across the scene and then... that's it. No follow-up, no dialogue, it's as routine as finding a raider. Doesn't make any sense.
The UFO crash site isn't out of place, because there have been UFO encounters in almost every canon Fallout title, and Fallout 3 had an entire DLC centered around the player getting abducted from the base game UFO crash site.
It's incredibly out of place. The UFO and TARDIS were never meant to be more than jokey Easter eggs. To drive that point home you couldn't even see them in New Vegas without the Wild Wasteland perk. Fallout 3 and 4 are the only Fallout titles to make them part of the universe. The idea that the Zetans are even canon is ridiculous.
My opinion is, just cus its in the game, doesnt mean the programmers were correct, to put it in...effectively, what we want, is a post apocalyptic realism simulation with a few additional features, that somehow might make it into the worlds of something along the lines of between, "28 days later" and "mad max".
Guess we're also going to have to retcon the Psychic nullifier, a main quest item being designed from alien tech from Fallout 1, and Skynet, a main quest character based on alien tech in Fallout 2, out of the canon then. Darn "non canonical aliens" being behind canonical things.
As for realism, Fallout has had aliens, psychic powers, and even ghosts throughout the series. It has never been what you describe.
It's also perfectly realistic for aliens to abduct humans for experimentation of technology before implementation to their larger society. It's after all what we do to animals here on Earth.
"what we want, is a post apocalyptic realism simulation", go play METRO, STALKER, Last of Us, or This War of Mine for that! Fallout as a series was always some wack retro Sci-Fi apocalyptic fantasy; and I don't think you understand the nature of that series if try to make it more thematically "realistic". Cheers.
>play FO4 >It's a nice idea to replace UFO crash site with BoS' 'cause "Fallout 3 and 4 are the only Fallout titles to make them part of the universe" >still play FO4
While a good portion of Fallout has a realism center, Fallout also does a lot of goofy stuff. Fallout's entire history has been a mix between realism and goofy jokes and references, like the TARDIS or a Star Fleet shuttle crashing into the wasteland.
if its in a game its by definition Canon.... the Zetans are in at least 3 fallout titles ( i am sure they are mentioned somewhere in F01 and FO2 or Tactics ) there was a whole DLC... in fallout 4 you can get a "space captains" hat ( basically looks like a BOS officer hat )
"space aliens" and UFO's are totally part of the 1950's and 1960's aesthetics of the game
What is more strange for me, is how 1 alien made it into fallout 4, but none of the enclave did,...the enclave didnt feature in new vegas either, dispite being in the data packs. But my real point it, if they put extra content in, just for 1 alien, why have the relating content at all? Cus it had to have some aliens...nah.
Yes...fallout 4 realism, there are plenty of fallout 4 realism mods and modern weaponry replacers, why would someone choose fallout and mod it over those other games, easy, the base building aspects, its the whole reason i got fallout 4 over fallout 3/nv. Credit to most people here, but there are some selectively minded people, whom havnt modded it for realism, which is fair, cus thats their thing. I personally like, realism and scavenging and basedbuilding. do the other games mentioned do all this?
Wait did he just say Enclave was not in Fallout Nv, they are in a bunker, you gotta do the questline to get into the bunker, and they will fight along side the dam with you, besides i'm not gonna dog on the mod because people rather see a vertibird then space ship. but in the fallout series aliens, alien architects, ghosts etc have been in the fallout series and if you put yourself into that era the fallout universe it would be realistic, you gotta look at it from both ways its like trying to play halo and then trying to compare our universe with halo's.. you can't because its all made into there own universe.
Just want to post this because you don't seem to realize that the Enclave is basically destroyed after fallout 3. We destroy one of their only remaining "major" bases after we destroyed the oil rig in fallout 2.
I think in FNV the alien blaster was replaced by a unique gause rifle if you did not use wild wasteland. Perhaps you could do the same here, it would go well with the crash sites new BOS theme.
This mod, does not claim to be intelligent, it claims to replace the ufo with bos helicopter...and furthermore, I only have one mod up; when a user only has one mod, just imagine, its his first mod...and then resist trolling him..how many mods do you have...oh.
OK, I updated the images, they are all my images now...the correct map location, the editor image (turned out darker then intended), and the banner that provides a better idea of the mod, along with a cut of the banner; sorry it took so long; obviously, the true lore friendly survivalists, are offline players.
