I don't know if anyone's gotten this but Marcy came back for me... I completely cut her body up with a knife so a floating ghost torso spawned and it freaked me the f*#@ out haha. I don't know what to do. I can record it in obs as proof.
Personally I'd recommend "markfordelete" instead, partially for immersion reasons. They don't immediately disappear, but after you go somewhere else, when you come back they'll be totally out of the game. Hard removed. Not just disabled, but their record is deleted.
And you can imagine that they just left, or were taken by your royal huntsman into the woods, or whatever comforting thought.
Would it be inappropriate to mention that I got "movement" whilst watching your video? My self I like the spiked or bladed baseball bat for that "up close and personal feeling" but each to their own.

But she actually comes and spams me with her snarky comments while I'm not even trying to talk to her. I'd just be there trying to decide which receiver to blow my resources on at the weapons workbench, and I'd get Marcy stand in the doorway and abuse me for ten minutes straight, including whining about having to stop everything she's doing to talk to me. Well, I'm not making her!
Sometimes she seems to even follow me around just to abuse me.
It seems stupid to the extremes to come whine at me that she doesn't want to talk to me. I feel that if she doesn't want to talk, the least she can do is SHUT THE HELL UP!
Second only to the idiocy of Sturges. I swear to the elder gods that he'd actually come get parked near me while I work at some workbench -- and I can be busy for like half an hour with the robot one - and spend like half an hour going:
"I'm busy!" "Can it wait?" "I'm busy!" "I'm busy!" "Can it wait?"

No longer working. Quickest alternative way to do it is go to the console and enter: Help "Marcy" 4 then enter setessential (insert her NPC code here, no parentheses) 0 and bam, she's able to die. Unfortunately for everyone, she has a lot of health and doesnt take radiation damage. I got her to walk over a trap door that dropped on on a pressure plate that activated 12 tesla arcs, 24 rad emitters, 30 stationary pipe turrets, 3 flamers, and 3 spike traps. She didnt even flinch. Had to run inside and shoot her in the back of the skull. Oddly, Sanctuary didnt mind that. Not even her husband. I asked him, and he said things were starting to look better.
to be fair the longs are the way they are because their son got killed on the way from quincy to where you find them. but still you make them a fairly nice home and one whines the whole time and the other nags. wouldn't be so bad if they changed their attitudes as you fixed up sanctuary but alas always and forever annoying it seems. nice mod. kudos to you good sir or madam.

I just stumbled across this after being unable to use setessential 0 for whatever reason, THANK YOU SO FUCKING MUCH. I swear I wanted to just suicide bomb myself in bethesda's headquarters after this fucking b&@*$ just kept yapping and insulting me each time I walked past, despite that I gave her shelter and rebuilt it into something beautiful. Now, if you can do the same for that whiny f*#@ who keeps crying (forgot his name) this mod will be complete and will belong in the 'bugfix' section
