    Spoiler:
    Show

the problem with the vanilla borders for what i know, is most don't fit any custom settlement, not sure if you can adjust and or make new 1's in 3dmax(maybe fo4edit)
the most simple solution(for @ragoda) can be, place markers that give you a idea where the border stop, like pieces of fences(scrap able)
but he what do i know about making settlements, i'm just a n00b that  trow in a idea

      LOOL @ n00b!

Hmm, not bad idea, I could try that marker idea, although I think that can be a hazzle also if the area is not a simple rectangle.

Any chance of a picture with the border enabled so we can see the size of the settlement?
    Thanks Ragoda :)

That can't be done, as I don't have border made. But I can take a picture in Creation Kit that about shows the area.

Yeah I know you don't put borders [dang you LOL]. Wish you would. It would have been super helpful at Coastal.
Anyhow, ok so this picture then

ALL of that is the settlement?
      Wow.
Ok then I am using this
Thanks for your settlements. I have always had the least problems with yours which is why I always get yours.
As a matter of fact, if I ask anyone if their mod works with settlements I always say "Does this work with Ragoda's mods?"
Of course they don't have borders, but hey, we can't all be perfect LOL
      Thanks again Ragoda

The Survival file with the added cooking station seems to work perfectly. Plants that are planted and assigned on the outskirts will now register like normal food. The settler did not seem to want to go sandbox by the very outer ones but she did for all the others.

The added station is a welcome addition and will make this more viable for Survival players. Thanks for posting this and good luck.

Glad it works as planned! BTW, check out the new Isle Of Qunnapowitt Settlement, I made it so there is also a cooking fire for survival use. However, some caution is recommended as this settlement is right atop of a behemoth. *grins*

It works with both the Sanctuary Everglades https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/30291 and Wicked Shipping https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/10859 settlement mods without any problems. This settlement is in the perfect position to link the settlements together. I'll post a screenshot of the supply lines.

Here is what I have so far. The settlement seemed to function as expected. It showed up with 50% happiness and I could assign settlers from other settlements to Lanes End Estates that showed up in the menu for moving settlers.

I spawned in a settler and again I could assign them to this settlement from the menu. The settler seemed to gravitate to the parking lot so I do not know how much of this area is nav meshed.

One thing I did notice. The build area is huge however it did not all seem to act like it is a part of the settlement. Even though I could have the workshop open, and I could plant food, it seemed to be "outside" of the settlement after all. You could not scrap items and if I did plant food, the settler would ignore it. Even after it was assigned to the settler she did not recognize it and the food did not show up in the settlement tally along the top. When I moved toward a more central area it all worked as it should, but when you get toward the outskirts of the buildzone, functionality was lost.

One thing I did wish, and some settlement modders ignore, is adding stations to the settlements. Survival players that roll with a low Charisma will not be able to just add stations at will. They are dependent on what is found in the wild. Even adding just a cooking station would be a tremendous help.

All in all it is a nice settlement mod and seemed to work well for the limited paces that I put it through. Thanks for posting and good luck!

Thank you for reporting all this! I must confess that I haven't tried to plant food on the outskirts of settlement. All other stuff seems to be placed right though even there.

      - Hmm, I might add optional Survival version with cooking pot

inner cells are navmessed by default, only the 1's outside the border are not navmessed, it could be that the build box is not low enough( not puttted into the ground enough), or maybe ragoda forgot to link the buildbox as sandbox from the wb, it can be a little thing, and believe me those are simple things that you easy forget

all by all a nice 1 again @ragoda

Hopefully Version 2.0 fixes the plant problem. I also made the Survival Version, and it can be downloaded as an optional file.

Using new version or optional version is easy, just replace the existing ESP file at Data folder with new one. And Manager probably does that automatically.

I have always liked that area because of the parking lot. I will have to check this out when I get home. Thank you.

Lets hope you like. I myself didn't build anything at actual parking lot yet, but I am looking forward to it. :)
