there are 3 glaring issues with this mod/location one is the fact you CANNOT send settlers to this location, and yes i have tried, last night in fact. and the second is i cannot find the work bench, i've searched the entire area for it, and it seems to be MIA, the other issue is greentech, every time i try to return to that area, it freezes or crashes the game, i'm not sure why, but it's a common thing, not just mod related.
great mod but I cannot get settlers to come and join. cant even force them to come by sending them there. any ideas? loaded the current version only. thanks a bunch.
Currently working on building this place up. Wow this place is Massive! I know there would be a large FPS hit if you opened up some of the buildings. It would be cool to try and make alot of them usable. I do have snappy house kit, and have begun to fix alot of the open/destroyed buildings (back to what they may have looked like). Building here is a real challenge (because of the items I want to get rid of, but cant). Like the 2 shipping crates and the truck trailer turned sideways. would love to open that up. Just thought I would share my progress... After I am done, I will make a walk-thru youtube video. But this will take awhile... lol
So I'm considering offering a version with no precombines so you can delete whatever you want with the alternative scrapping tools. Just especially for console players and this being a high crash zone I was nervous to do so.... But if you want to give it a try I'll upload it. Not sure if doing so will delete current workshop data for people upgrading or not. So that's also a concern.
But yeah. Tried to give people a pretty massive urban area to play with.
It would be cool to try. I would just start another character and play thru rebuilding the entire area.... That would be a massive undertaking, but would be fun to see the whole area redone.... lol. So yea, please upload a version with no precombines... :) thanks.
I really like this location for a settlement , unfortunately, I just can't get it to work for me. I too am having the 0 happiness issue. Also, green border shows during the workshop build mode and without. Kind of annoying. I also have scrap everything and nothing is scrappable so the whole settlement continues to looks like a hot mess. I love the idea of this settlement though.
As described below, please update to latest version. It was a faction issue with the workshop quest. As commented below by another user, 1. Delete old version. 2. Loaded up a clean previous save . 3. Saved game. 4. Downloaded 99d version. 5. loaded game,
This should open up with a fresh working fully functional settlement
As for scrapping, so I didn't break any of the precombines of the area which means that scrapping non vanilla scrappable items in the main cell won't work. Outside of the main cell things like STC would work normally.
I can release a version without precombines if people want that but it will greatly impact performance given the size of the area and how crowded it is at first with encounters.
That said, even with precoms turned off since it doesn't reset once you've cleared the area it actually becomes more stable even with an active high settler count
Installed 99c, (and is last in my load order), walked to settlement, opened workbench, and happiness is still at 0. Deleted and reinstalled 99c, and repeated steps, still at 0. Thought I would let you know. This looks like a great place for a settlement. I will check back to see if you update it. I would really love to build here... Good work so far...
Thanks, this should be completely fixed now. It was quest not loading for some people but I've made it simple and open ended rather than linked to the rest of the ongoing quest.
Thanks for your update. This is how I had to update mine: 1. Deleted old version. 2. Loaded up a clean previous save. 3. Saved game. 4. Downloaded 99d version. 5. loaded game, went to settlement location and it Worked... Woot... thanks cor your efforts....
Great. Happy to hear it's resolved for everyone else now.
BTW,. I highly recommend snappy housekit or similar with this. You can fix all the broken parts of buildings and turn into fully operational repaired versions. Even the empty unused sections of the ticon or greentech building. Makes the whole area incredibly immersive.
looks like it could be really cool! You should post some screens of the over head map as well as an aerial shot showing the build boundries. That would help a ton cause I for one, don't know what I'm looking at with the creation tool screenshot
any chance you could a pic of the map location so i can make sure this settlement is in a location away from my other settlements so they dont conflict

But it's a pretty good size settlement stretching from the raidercamp to greentech centering on the abandoned Fallon's there.
