The reason is that an object in an ESP-File have only references to meshes (NIFs), no textures (*.DDS Files) themself. The information which texture is used for an object is stored in the meshes. So if you want to make a standalone, you must make also new meshes (copy them from vanilla and change pathnames for textures).
Also i do the work making them craftable, not before i can edit meshes, else i had to do the work twice.
