    Version without the ring? I just want him to be harder for the sake of being harder, I like a challenge. You know what would be badass a mod that only makes all the bosses in the game way harder: The Castle Mirelurk queen, the first Deathclaw you meet in town, Kellog, Swan, the courser in hunter and hunted, and other names enemies. I also don't want a ring that completely breaks game balance by giving me +10 to all stats.

      I won't do a version without the ring. If you don't want it, just don't take it, no one is forcing you.

      But the ring is overpowered +10 to all stats in insane. I just want Swan harder without the overpowered ring. I think a suit of power armor is just fine as a reward honestly.

      The boss is also overpowered, so what's the matter? You want Swan harder? You have it, you don't like the ring? Then DON'T take it after killing the boss, is it so complicated?

      Your broken ass ring that gives +10 to all stats is whats wrong? I'm not sure why giving people options is so bad maybe your mod would be more popular if it wasn't for the blatantly broken ring. I want him to be overpowered as a challenge but I don't want to be given some item that completely makes the game a cakewalk and your ring falls in that category aka a cheat item. Same reason I downloaded a mod that makes Kellog stronger just to make Kellog stronger. All I want is swan stronger that's it. I don't need the cheating item you put on him.

      Ok, you are starting to become annoying, I don't know if you are trolling or if you are really so dense, so I'm going to lay it the simplest as I can for you: YOU.ARE.NOT.FORCED.TO.TAKE.THE.RING.YOU.DON'T.WANT.IT.THEN.DON'T.TAKE.IT.

      You ALREADY HAVE THE CHOICE and I WON'T change anything about this mod, especially not to cater to ONE person who is apparently unable to understand that one, the ring is NOT overpowered, as the SPECIAL stats in the game are mostly useless, and two: IF YOU DON'T WANT THAT RING, THEN DON'T LOOT IT ! Period.

      This is the second time I answer you about this matter, there won't be a third time.

      Wanting to play a game without the ring present at all isn't trolling just because someone doesn't agree with your closed off view doesn't mean they're trolling you. And you wouldn't be putting the option just for me but for plenty of people that have the same mindset that the ring you put in is unbalanced plain and simple. If you don't understand what makes it unbalanced look at what the stats do, strength adds melee % damage + carry weight, endurance adds HP per level, intelligence boosts experience gain significantly with +10, agility gives more action points. etc. The fact you're this ignorant about all this is just crazy. Stick with making body mods because apparently you don't know a thing about balancing. And your "super" swan after testing went down like ramen noodle, unsatisfying and fast.

      If the ring was actually balanced you'd call it the one ring and give it only +1 to all stats, maybe +2 at best . +10 is just asinine and shows your lack of understanding of game balance. +10 is basically double what you have in base stats, you're basically twice as strong (double the health, more exp, more AP / ap regen, higher vats, more melee power / carry weight) with the ring that's what makes it broken. And melee builds are some of the most if not the most OP builds in this game already.

      I was sure you would keep answering again, and I was sure you would insult me, people like you always do that when a mod author doesn't bend the knee to their particular desires.
      I clearly and repeatedly explained to you that you are not, by any means, forced to take the ring: the ring is a reward, you can obtain it only after killing the boss, obtaining it requires a string of deliberate actions from your end: killing the boss, searching his body and looting the ring, opening your inventory and equipping the ring, no one, I repeat, no one is forcing you to obtain that ring, you don't ant that ring? Then don't loot it, it is simple !
      You don't like it? You don't want it? Then DON'T take it !
      Is the ring being forced into your inventory when you kill the boss? No.
      Is the ring being forced on your finger when your kill the boss? No.
      Is there something who forces you to loot that ring and then equip it? No.
      Is there someone behind your back aiming a gun at your head and yelling at you to take the ring and equip it? No.
      Are you so obviously unhinged that you can't even understand that very fact that YOU ALREADY HAVE THE CHOICE: IT IS CALLED DON'T LOOT THE RING !

      Am I really having to explain to someone the most very basic concept of inventory management in every RPG ever? Do you realize how insane your obsession is? Are you somehow physically unable to NOT take the ring after killing the boss?
      Do you realize that you are complaining and insulting me because I refuse to do what you flat out ordered me to change in MY mod, on which I have EVERY RIGHT, when the solution you so ridiculously complain about is ALREADY HERE, and it is called DON'T LOOT THE RING IF YOU DON'T WANT IT !

      I will NOT change the mod and remove the ring because somehow you are unable to not take it and equip it, literally everyone, and I mean literally, with a rational functional brain, and even kids, understand that very simple concept, but somehow, you don't, and you complain again and again while the solution to your "problem" is right before your eyes and has been stated multiple times, something that shouldn't even have been, considering EVERYONE not unhinged like you obviously are, instinctively knows it.

      I won't even talk about your insults and you labeling me "close minded", or attacking my mods, or pretending that you killed the boss very easily, which is an obvious lie, I'll just tell you this: your next post to complain will be the last, after that, you will be permanently blocked from all my content, but I know you won't care, and that you will come back to complain and dare me, people like you always do, and I always keep my word.

      I actually agree with dongeroman that a second version without the ring would be cool and it is a bit op, but I myself tend to just give it to my main companion to boost their stats a bit and I mainly just enjoy the hard fight as it makes me have to prepare for it instead of just running in with whatevers on hand. I like having most of the big bads buffed like Swan, Liberty prime, Kellogg, and a few others. I go in expecting a hard fight and pitiful rewards but an experience that is more than just using a fat man. The fight itself is the reward to me and I really enjoy the mods that do so, like this one. Few mods tend to buff named bosses to such degrees and I still haven't found one for shipbreaker so I always am happy to see them on the site and as long as it doesn't cause a ctd, the way that those authors make them is their choice. So Clanggedin thank you for the mod.

    after about 2 hours (counting 2 failed attempts, one of which took 40 minutes and another took about 30) i finally killed him at level 34. I probably would have been a lot faster but i had no ammo for my gauss rifle or any other big guns. Definitely a tough mod.

    I regret install this mod blind. I've no idea who Swan is or his location because it's my first playthough. When I did find him, he just stood still in his pond doing nothing. At first I thought he's a quest npc or something and I walk all over him but without a single reaction. I was confused for a while and googled to see if this is a common bug. It isn't. So I check my mod list. Long story short he's normal again after uninstall, but I will never get to experience that first time you meet Swan in his pond.

    I also have a mod that plays "All Star" by Smash Mouth when he wakes up so this is going to be a lot of fun :D

    Started a new save, with a bunch of armor and weapon mods, some weather stuff too. Doing my thing until lvl 30 where I felt like fighting Swan.

    Swan was the same as vanilla one, so i guess the mod didnt work, no idea why i dont have anything that should overwrite Swan or his stats.

    That was an epic battle, he chased me around the block too!!!!! I could only hide down that little tight alley across from his pond to catch my breath and chug down stim packs, until other super mutants joined the battle from a block away, and their hounds (I have a more enemies mod)!!!!!

    Two hours of brutal combat, and about one clip left in my berretta and 3 stim packs left, great fun!!!!!

      That's what I like to read ! To be honest, the fight has been mostly balanced around this: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/46812 , but I made sure it would also work, albeit much harder, with the base game system

    After reading some of the comments, playing with your perk overhaul, I had to try my hand against this guy.

    Even with a jetpack to get me on top of buildings and out of reach, it still took me three tries to take him down on "Very Hard". He OHKOed me at level 60 with both his club and a thrown boulder. I ended up shooting him in the head with a fully upgraded gauss rifle probably a couple hundred times, most of those sneak attacks, critical hits, or both. With that same gun and a slightly weaker selection of perks, I exploded a legendary deathclaw in a single shot; that durability is pretty much impossible to overstate.

    I did see him pathfind into obstacles and get stuck a couple of time. When it happened while he was at like 1/3 health, I just put him out of both of our miseries instead of trying to fix it for "fairness."

    Hi, I downloaded the mod on PS4, and Swan disappeared from the pond. Is there a way I can find him? This is the latest mod I downloaded, so it's at the bottom of the load order

      Can confirm that Swan immediately appears once the mod is disabled. And then disappears once the mod is enabled.

      EDIT: I do not have any mods that changes AI/ enemy spawns

      I think I know where the issue lies, you have an old version of the mod where the changes I've made altered Swan and sometimes, he wasn't spawning, it was likely due to the way he is supposed to enter combat, by surging from the water.
      I fixed this issue long ago, but there was never an update on PS4 because, if I remember correctly, roughly 2 years and a half ago, there was an update for the game and the CK who made it virtually impossible to create and upload mods for the PS4 version.
      Unfortunately, this change was retroactive, and mods I had already uploaded were also impossible to update due to this change; even mods that I had already uploaded and who were available, and that I had not touched upon since then, couldn't be accepted anymore.
      Since I couldn't update my mods anymore on PS4, I completely abandoned the support on my PS4 mods.

      So, while the issue your mention has long ago been fixed on the PC version, I am utterly unable to provide you with the same version for PS4, and while I would rather prefer not to, I have to advise you to uninstall this mod so your game experience isn't ruined.

    Hi! This is my first post on this forum and I'm sorry If I break any rules. Whatsoever, really really love the mod! Until recently I never had any problem with swan in the pond. Everytime I passed by he was fighting with random group of npcs ( I have war of the commonwealth). But about a game week's ago, everytime I went by swan's pond he was nowhere to be found. I tried searching his body even though it seemed unlikely some lowlife BoS would end the mighty tyrant.

    I tried to prid/moveto with his original red id to no avail. So I come to you with hopes of an answer. I would like to know if there is a way to teleport myself to it ( or it's body if dead) to know if he is still part of the game. I noticed he disappeared after downloading a mod called Search and destroy - extended search ( even though I do not believe those two interfere, maybe the extended search - higher aggro, made him roam farther than he was supposed to) But I digress.

    If not , is there a way to reset him back to his starting position. And if all else fail, will redownloading your mod respawn the stronger versioon of swan?

    Again, sorry for the long post, I adore your work, thank you!

      So, your issue started after you installed Search and destroy, right? Have you tried to deactivate the mod and see if Swan was back on another save? What is your load order with these two mods? Try loading Superboss Swan after SAD if it's not already done.
      Have you installed others mods aside SAD between then and now?

      From your post, I think it's indeed very possible that Swan has moved far away to chase an enemy, and is maybe stuck somewhere, and in that case, I don't think it would change anything to reinstall the mod as it is most likely an unintended interaction between the two mods.

      Try what I advised you to and tell me if it works.

      Yes, the Superboss mod is loading after SAD, Also before the current events, my companion would always point out how it was dangerous to be near boston commons, now they don't say anything at all. I console commanded 'swan' and found several npc (three to be esxact) I tried to teleport myself to them, none work but one. and the one that worked teleported me inside the wall of a building. I tried looking around, but there was no swan around. Tried to prid move it to me, still nothing.

      I did install other mods after Swan, things like guns and outfits. I don't know what order since vortex doesn't seem to keep track of the time a mod was downloaded.

      Have you tried deactivating SAD and try to see if Swan was here on another save were you never used SAD? I don't think it's the weapons and outfits you downloaded who causes the issue either, if you tell me it suddenly happened a week ago, and that it was after you installed SAD, the most probable answer is that it comes from SAD, not specifically because the mod would be bugged or something like that, but more because since it apparently touches the aggro radius of the creatures, it could have sent Swan somewhere where he is not supposed to.
      I'll download SAD and see if there is something in it that touches Swan, in the meanwhile, try to deactivate it and try if it works using a save before you installed it, or using a new save directly.

      Edit: I downloaded SAD and analyzed it: there's nothing in it that directly modify Swan, meaning it is not incompatible with my mod.
      So I tested both, on a save were I never used either of these mods, and Swan was in his pool, and there was no issue.

      So I conclude your problem doesn't come from the interaction between Swan and SAD, but rather from something else. You told me you had War of the commonwealth installed, right? Can you tell me more about this mod? I read it was adding lots of enemies everywhere?

      I Have found the problem after several trial. I reloaded an old save and found swan in it's pond. I then took his ref id, went to my current save and used it to move it back to the pond(Swan was still alive in my current save). I then went to my home, saved and went back to swan's pond to see if he would still be there, but alas, he was again nowhere to be found. using his ref Id, i teleported myself to him. and found him stuck in a building. it seems his ''idle"" waiting location has been move for some reason and I can't seem to know how to change it. I will try and see what mod caused it, but it's been so long in game time ,I don't know If I can ever save that save file. I would have to try a new character to see if the addition of a mod did this, or it is plain conflict between two mods. Nevertheless, we are moving foward! Follow the trail

      Great ! So we know he is still here. So it appears something has changed his behavior. I re-checked SAD, apparently, it modifies the aggro range of all NPC's in the game, which includes Swan, add to this that you use War of the Commonwealth, which, if I am not mistaken, adds a lot of NPC's and battles everywhere, it it highly possible one of these patrols have aggroed Swan from far away, and because it happened when you weren't looking, since the game is what it is, instead of going and attacking the enemies like he should have, Swan instead got stuck in a building.
      It's only an hypothesis of course, but I think this is the correct one.
