I did not realize how much I needed this patch until I decided to try it.  It definitely works on all the newest updates, and Next-Gen update.  I didn't realize how dark my setting was until I installed this patch. Thank you very kindly.

Ok guys and gals so I've done a lot of testing and looking within FO4Edit like cardamom said everything seems compatible nothing CTD worthy. My load order so far is this as follows.

    Vivid Weathers - FO4.esp
    Vivid Weathers - FO4 - Quest.esp
    Vivid Weathers - FO4 - Far Harbor.esp
    Vivid Weathers - Nuka World.esp
Vivid Waters.esp (This is irrelevant as it is just part of Vivid Weathers but doesn't conflict in anyway I see.)
    DarkerNights.esp
    DarkerNightsDetection.esp
    BetterNightVision.esp
    C-ViviWeat139-DarkNigh111p6-Patch.esp

So what you do is Install Vivid Weathers, you can install Natural Bright the difference between with it or not at night seems to be irrelevant, but if you do install it place it below Vivid Weathers - Nuka World.esp. Next install this patch and place it within the load order I have specified. Once in game go to The holotape to control Vivid Weathers, go to brightness options for night settings and set it to Doom settings. With that in order it's pretty dark I can't see without a flashlight. I will post images of what my game looks like, (FYI I am using Vogue ENB but I don't think it will matter if you use a ENB or not)

This is correct. This patch still works. I'm using it in my new build (2024)!

I uh... lost access to my cardamom account. This is cardamom2 >_>
      now with more cardamom.

This is possibly my favorite spice in the whole world. Ever have it with sweetened iced tea? Amazing.

Sorry guys it should mostly work. My PC is out of commission and I haven't upgraded because Nvidia is running a monopoly. The prices are outrageous on RAM and graphics cards so I'm waiting to purchase from AMD or until the next generation comes out. Shame on nvidia.

Yeah, if you would be so kind as to update this... that would be awesome. Vivid Weathers is now on version 2.0 and we can't live life without this patch.

Hm, same thing is now happening on my screen. I'm not sure, because other mods than mine are downloading. Other people were using my mods fine yesterday. I don't know. Here's what I did after they couldn't be added by NMM either automatically or manually: I went to Nexus Mod Manager folder, I went to Fallout 4, I went to downloads. I noticed the downloaded files were in there.
I opened them up while I had NMM open on the "plugins" tab -- scrolled to the bottom. I manually dragged the esp to the fallout 4 Data folder like you said you did. They popped up in NMM at the bottom of my load order unchecked (in real time). So that worked for me, but the downloads didn't automatically add themselves to the "Mods" tab. Please note I'm running NMM in administrator mode.

As for your situation, if that doesn't work... I'm not sure, maybe the website is re-scanning the files after I edited the mod descriptions for both of the mods. If it's not working within 24 hours (by tomorrow) I will re-upload or contact a site administrator.
Thanks for bringing this to my attention.

I know that isn't your fault thats why I didn't start "bug" topic...it's just a simple esp file so probably nmm is bugged o9r I have to clean some ini file of the game.

I'll try that and I'll get back to you.

Edit, now I see that you packed mod in .rar...maybe you could try with .zip archive...

Nice work! What does both "Early Sunset/Sunrise" and "Late Sunset/Sunrise" mean if they are both included? I didn't use those adjustments from darker nights. I occasionally get nights (overcast probably?) that are exceptionally too dark - like maybe 3x darker than my darkness settings (I think I have medium on but no big deal really). Curious to try to see if this will fix those - maybe it's some layer incompatibility. Do you think this would be safe to install mid-playthrough if I didn't use any sunset/sunrise settings? Either way, thank you for your hard work.

Vivid Weathers has brighter options overall for all the different times of day. When I pulled Vivid Weathers Early Sunset/Sunrise and Late Sunset/Sunrise data over to the final patch, I want to note that Darker Nights was overwriting Vivid Weathers with default Fallout 4 values, in other words, they weren't being made darker by Darker Nights. Vivid Weathers is overall brighter. Vivid Weathers is a great mod in that it has such incredible variability, some of which was taken away by Darker Nights. Some of that variability was added back. There's really no way to tell that this will help you, and if you have medium settings, it is going to make your game darker at night time. So just be aware of that. The final results though, whether you like them or not, are up to you. Thanks

Thanks for the response! I actually went ahead and plugged it in and went through a few day/night cycles and everything seems improved. It's hard to quantify the exact difference for most things, but it definitely "feels" a lot better - the sunrise/sunset thing is definitely noticacble in a really good way. The nights being a little darker is definitely not a dealbreaker at all - in fact, I'd say you went with the perfect setting, it was a little too bright for me before this. Thanks again for your hard work, and for releasing this! Hopefully anyone else using these same mods will enjoy it like I do.
