All good but the problem is 300 is a bit too much especially since you can use a fusion core that has like 2% charge left and trade that for 300 fusion cells.
But meh making the game recognize how drained the core is and adjust the recipe accordingly is not possible without some heavy scripting :3
You can also trade a nearly-empty fusion core for *about* 300 fusion cells... to several merchants in the game. If it was difficult enough for Bethesda not to bother making merchants adjust prices for near-empty fusion cores, I can't expect a modder to come up with a solution. Otherwise players are going to be like "Yeah, I CAN take this 2% power remaining fusion core to a chem bench and get 6 fusion cells for it. Or I can down the street and trade it to a vendor for enough caps to get 300 fusion cells... why do I have this mod again?" Better balanced as-is, unless the modder can also fix fusion core sell prices working the same way.
Beyond that, the base exchange value for the crafting menu is easily altered to taste in xEdit, but I really think 300 is just about the perfect amount, considering the relative rarities, caps values, etc. Author probably gave this some thought to come up with that number.
Yea if only Fusion Cores had a similar system like Soul gems from Skyrim It wasn't perfect but at least you could have both an empty and filled version and adjust prices accordingly :/
PS: Fusion Core costs 200 caps without any modifiers , Fusion Cell costs 3 caps without modifiers so depending on your charisma selling a Core can get you enough caps for roughly 100-150~ fusion cells , not really 300.
