Not sure I understand the issue you're having with MO2. I have a dozen bat files in my game folder and all work as intended in-game with MO2 as my mod manager.
Yeah, i also don't understand how this even works, since MO uses a virtual folder for the Data folder, not the main folder (as why F4SE can't be installed by mod managers). I've been using MO2 for a long time now and i have a single bat file (for godrays) that i am using since i made the change from NMM to MO2.
I never thought a bat file would work in the data folder...
Urbano, are you sure you left all the bat files in the Data folder after migrating to MO2? Strange :s
I use MO2 and just drop my bat/text files into the game folder. They work just fine. AFAIK bat files won't work in Data...only the root level of the game folder.
I use a bat file for godrays too as a well as about 10-11 other for mod testing. Unless someone is trying to install text files with a mod manager...:shrug:
I think I figured out what happened. The whole problem is that I installed MO2 and "pointed" it to the old structure I had with more than 150 active installed mod (and another 300 disabled or badly removed) by NMM ... Not because I did not imagine things would not work very well ...
Following a tip, I've just unscrewed the game and deleted everything in the directories, so that there's no tail of the old installations or desistalations, I'm going to spend the next few hours installing FO4 from scratch, then FSE and then the preferred MODs now via MO2.
You real problem was NMM and The way it worked, installed in the game folder. Mo2 é outra vida :) By logic, bats can run commands to modify game settings without no mods installed, so they get special treatment and go in our precious DATA folder.
Dragging the bat files directly into the game folder is counter-productive .. the whole point of MO2 is to create a virtual file system to run the game in that leaves the "game folder" in a pristine and usable by another instance. So creating a place for the files is better (overwrite dir to new mod is easiest .. everything is there and built in to do it easily)
This is great, I tried various ways that people posted, none worked until this, who would have thought , put them in your overwrite folder and make a mod. Thanks, This works and is so simple.

Hello sorry if I disturb you, maybe I'm dumb ... but I copied my batch files in "profiles", in a modfolders. Then I created an empty mod, called BatFiles, where I copied the batch files ... now in theory they should work or did I miss some steps? Thank for the help!
