    Instructions:

    1. make sure you installed all the listed mods from the descritpion page, use LOOT if you want to optimize your load order
    2. extract the .zip file you´ve just downloaded
    3. locate your Fallout 4 data folder
    Harddrive:\Programme (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 4\Data\F4SE\Plugins\TransferSettlements\blueprints
    4. create inside the "blueprints" folder a new folder with the respective slot number - in this case "7"
    5. drag and drop the extracted .json file into the 7th slot you just created

    Ingame:

    6. open your pipboy, select items, miscellaneous and activate ["Settings] Tansfer Settlements"
    7. in the holotape select "[Import a settlement from a blueprint]"
    8. Sanctuary should now show up at slot 7
    9. follow all the instructions listed within the holotape

    and thats it, have fun

Should we nuke the area before importing or leave anything standing?

unlike MatriDunadan i do enjoy this as a blueprint instead of SS-Plans

Y'know, since you're using Rise Of The Commonwealth, you can set this up as a City Plan instead.

thats true, i could set this up as a city plan. but i wanted stick with transfer settlements. seeing so much nice and creative settlements encouraged me to upload my own settlements.

what would be the advantage if i would set it up as a SS-Plan

For one, Transfer Settlement can be removed as a requirement, since RoTC does the same things TS does.

And since it is a City Plan, power requirements for the plots within the plan is managed internally instead of requiring power cable connections.

I've imported this settlement a few different times and I can't get most of the signs to show up even though I have all the required mods installed. Any reason why, you think? The hospital, restaurant signs show up but none of the stand posts along the road that say Commissary, Cell block, etc. The lights will load in above them but the sign posts wont. Nor the signs for the barracks or the guard room.
I have the sim settlements 3 in 1 but when I go to load the settlement it says I am missing the Sim Settlements Industrial ESP. Should I download the Sim settlements individually? Maybe this is the problem? I can provide some screen shots if wanted. I just can not get these signs to show up.

Should mention I have all of Gruffys signs installed, so not sure why some are not showing up in my game and others are. There are also some items floating where I think tables should be and some items clipping into other things. Using the stable preset to import and have tried other presets.

      Hello Rainb0wbiscuit,

thanks for download that blueprint. reading your first lines almost let the thought you did not install gruffys signs. anyways this behaviour is pretty strange. many, well nearly all, signs are gruffys ones. so, maybe something did somehow fail during the installation. because i dont have any other replies regarding missing signs. the best you can do, i guess, is trying to redownload the mod and reinstalling it again. this could, maybe, fix your issue. if the signs still dont show up, you maybe should browse through the posts from the original mod page or the bug section.

      next error regarding SSI:

i downloaded it seperately, dont know why SS3-1 doesnt use its own ressources but assets from SSI. So the best you can do for now is downloading SSI to fix this issue. maybe it doesnt use those assets because the plot is not supported by SS3-1.

      missing textures / objects:

many, many wall textures and other objects like fences, wooden catwalks, posts and so on use all the same mod:

      * the master plan by Ethreon (compareable to a scriptloader and workshop arrangement mod)
      * vanilla extensions by Ehreon

so, when you cant see posts but the floating signs there maybe occured and error while installing the mods too. infact all walls from the police station/ municipal jail, hospital, the wooden catwalks, all the wooden railings, posts, supports and a dozen of other objects were build with the two mods written above. please make sure you installed those two according to the modders instruction to prevent any error later in the game.

thats all i can do for you now. please answer me as far as you tried to fix the issues. if something still doesnt work im here to help you.

Hey, thanks for the timely response!

I went back and looked around at my mods. Regarding Gruffy's signs - I have SKE so I downloaded the SKE version of the mod. However, I went back and uninstalled that and installed the non-ske version of the mod and that seemed to work. The signs are now showing up properly. I will let him know this, because that seems weird to me the signs wouldn't show up with the SKE version of it.

As for Sim settlements I did go back and individually install all three and that seemed to fix some problems I was having as well. I didn't really notice before but some settlement plots were already at max level before. Now they show up normally at the first level, which is good!
Weird that these problems existed for me.

I also went back and looked at my masterplan and vanilla extensions files and re downloaded them just in case something had happened while installing.

I imported the blueprint this morning and everything showed up as well as everything looks like it's in place.

Thank you for responding and taking the time to help me. I really appreciate it as this blueprint is my absolute favorite! Thank you for creating such a nice settlement!

as i wrote above, you have to unpack that .rar file with a programm suited for that task like 7zip, winrar. because of nexusmods restrictions, users are only allowed to upload zipped files

If you admit some criticism: too "gamey". I mean, you have some taste which is not that easy to achieve... but things like "Sanctuary Trading Enclave" with a "Clinic" next to a clothing store... makes me feel like "oh, how convenient this city is, that it has everything a player from a videogame could need in the exacly same place".

When I build my settlements I take in considerations things like which settler is the doctor, who is he/she living with, etc, and build their whole place around believable stories... Your place seems nice from the outside, but looking it closer I cannot imagine any actual "real" living in there...

Sorry if my opinion upsets you. I'd play the outsiders card and say I don't know how to make my english sound more polite.

      Hi,
dont worry im perfectly fine with your opinion. also your english is perfectly okay. you wanted to tell me your critism and i totally understand your point. im more the person of "having everything in one place" since sanctuary is often my only settlement which i really do care about.

This mod looks great however after installing all the correct mods and putting the file in blueprints folder, it doesn't show up. :c
Edit: Problem solved, I needed to create an additional folder within blueprints, and put this in it. Some clearer instructions would help a lot.

Thanks for the instructions :D I have one more question, what should be scraped before importing this and what shouldn't? And it seems that scrap everything is required to make it look like the screenshots. I imported the settlement in an untouched sanctuary but things were a bit messed up with buildings blocked with junk, rough streets, and ugly grass everywhere.

Could you tell me the specific mod that you used to clean up the sanctuary buildings? I found some nice ones but they also repair buildings which sometimes conflicts with the fort.

      you can use mods like

      or

the second one is spring cleaning, which will clean up all of your settlements

The current Sanctuary mod I'm using causes some lag on my PC. Do you think this mod (with being how many things are included in it) would lag a medium to lower end PC?

this blueprint will definitly cause some lag spikes on lower - medium end pc´s. i build over 5500 objects to make sanctuary look like the way it does.
