If a mod loads after another, the changes made will override all previous. So, the specific NPC edits made by this mod will override UFO4P. You might have had another mod that was overwriting the NPC record or some other issue.
I know its been years. And I would do it myself if I knew how to. But can you make a patch that doesn't force the scribe outfit on the scribe? I have a few brotherhood overhaul mods I use, and it causes the armor to double, confusing the npc and making them wear nothing. The armor is in their inventory, just it gets doubled.
Would it be possible for you to add this on the beth site? I'm a console player and I use that vertibird travel from prydwen mod. So when i go back up to the prydwen the scribe is constantly dying from what I can only assume is them teleporting off of the side and just dying from fall damage. That no fall damage bit you've got in this mod is exactly what would do the trick. There is nothing on the beth site that address the problems surrounding this quest.
Works perfectly. I've been using him as a second companion and had him decked out in full ballistic weave (340 armor) with a Wounding Assault Rifle. He got left behind topside as I descended into the lower levels of the fish plant. When the Synth reinforcements spawned I heard a massive battle with two absolutely colossal explosions. When I got back up there he was standing there next to a burning truck amidst the corpses of his enemies.
2.0 uploaded. Adds ability to give scribe armor and weapons and equip them.
Commentary: I have added 3 mods for fallout 4 on nexus. All over a month old now. The mods I did for myself but thought others might find them useful too. I find it funny that of the three this one is the least downloaded and fewest endorsements. For me it is the most useful of the 3. Before I started working on the mod I had found a thread on a board that I now can not remember where over 100 posts had been made complaining about the Learning Curve quest and how difficult it was to complete the "proper" way for some locations at high difficulty levels. So anyway amusing to me what mods others find useful enough to Endorse and hoping the 3 that did so on this mod will like version 2.0
