Workshop mod has been released: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/33422
Merchant patch has been released. Thank you to Thirdstorm! Try it if the merchant is attacking you.
Should be compatible with Great Green Jewel, Diamond City Expansion, and Home Plate Exterior Revamped. I tried to make the entrance unobtrusive and easy to activate. No vanilla records were deleted.
According to Cybordania: BTW, it fits right in with Great Green Jewel, Diamond City Expansion, and Home Plate Exterior Revamped as long as they are in the right order at the bottom of the load order otherwise some odd visuals here and there, lol. (for me anyways) I find Diamond City Expansion, Home Plate Exterior Revamped, Great Green Jewel then yours is working best for me. Just throwin' that out there.
Thank you Cybordania!
26, Feb, 2019: Update/Mod that will replace this is coming and has a lot more, including quests, a greenhouse, residences, another custom merchant, and player home.
5, May 2019:Nearly all of the building and about 80% of the quests are done for the update "The Diamond City Bleachers District" (or whatever I end up naming it) which will actually be a new mod page upload. Still working on it. I won't let you down. This is a bigger mod with several new voiced NPCs, a couple of whom you will get to know very well. I also am taking particular pains to make the quests more original than finding a note or fetching an item (although fetch quests are in there).
12, Aug 2019: Got the dialogue audio files in. Play testing, working out some bugs from play testing, and two meshes are what remains. The mod will have lots of workshop items, lots of NEW goodies, and 4 new NPCs with over 1500 lines of new dialogue, and a very richly decorated playerhome.
I ran into a problem with the dialogue during the dinner scene. When the scene got to the part where Doc McCormick asks if the PC is from a vault, my character never got a chance to respond. They all just ended up sitting there looking at my character. I progressed the scene by advancing the quest stages via console, starting at stage 84. The scene continued to progress with DP talking about Lizzy and her brother. When it finally got to the point my character respond to Lilly, that fired okay, but the next PC response after that broke as well. I ended up having to progress the remainder of the quest through the console from stage 100 to right before the end. The quest ended as it normally should have. I initially thought that maybe Player Comments and Head Tracking was causing the conversation to break by having my character fire off a greeting right as they were supposed to respond, breaking the flow of the conversation, so I turned off Comments via the mod's control module in the PipBoy. The conversation still continued to break anyway. Sucks too, because watching a video of the dinner scene is what prompted me to download the mod. Mad props on the mod though. The immersion is off the charts! I just wanted to let you know about the problem I ran into. I'm sure it's a conflict with another mod, I just haven't figured out which one yet.
Great mod! Very nice aesthetic, lovable characters, solid story.
Only one suggestion from me is that the fetch quest number of objectives should be limited to 2 or 3, 4 at most, as more than that and it will turn into a chore, especially with players who have long loading time, or Survival mode players.
This one is purely my opinion, but this quest mechanic is not a very good gameplay design. As player who has better luck would find the item instantly or after 1 false and move on without having much positive feelings about it. However, keep having to teleport to 6 different locations, each without any event, in one quests is much more annoying than one can ever expect, especially with my potato of a PC. While I had some luck and found the previous objectives after 1 or 2 tries, I can't imagine how frustrated others would be if they were having to go through all of them.
In the end, I love the mod, but I think this mechanic serves as nothing but hindering many players to better, more tasteful contents of your great mod. Sometime, immersion just has to be disregarded for good gameplay design.
SWEEEEEEEEET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also lol at the fake review from me. Here's a real review: This mod is freaking amazing and if you don't like it you probably suck and I hate you.
Cause the players gonna play, play, play, play, play And the haters gonna hate, hate, hate, hate, hate Baby, I'm just gonna shake, shake, shake, shake, shake I shake it off, I shake it off
No. There is a lot of noise, but you probably have your effect volume cranked in game settings. I put in FX for metal creaking, foundation settling, and other various large metallic architectural thumps and bangs happening deep inside the Diamond City foundation as it decays over time.
You're only the second person to say it got loud in there, and the first to suggest it might be an issue with your enjoyment. Have you tried adjusting individual volume sliders?

What are you smoking? Out of curiosity.
Smoked instant noodle spice. Out of this world, I'd say.
