that's incredibly strange. The only blue tape in the US, probably by law, is painters tape. Its the tape you'd use to cut straight lines while you're doing interior painting.
And in the Army we'd use green tape. It is curious, like why the divide in color, and by region? Just separate companies and different aesthetics? I actually buy the blue tape off Amazon cause "muh differnt".
This looks like the kind of gun I would have made as a kid back in the 80's. I used to tape together different Larami waterguns ala Ripley from Aliens. It's so ugly it's beautiful.
So i finished the whole questline but the "Tommy,Tonny" (stage "Pick up the 2 special Tomacuzis") is still stuck to that point so might be an issue there.. edit: In case someone has the same problem, type "setstage 4F0026A2 40" in the console to complete the "Tommy, Tonny" quest.
I wasn't stuck there, this particular quest was stuck even after finishing the tape hunt. Just follow the train track... if you can't find this, good luck with the tape hunt then. ^^
I had the same problem. I just threw both weapons on the ground and picked them back up and the quest completed. The shack is the one slightly north of Tenpines. Should be a note on the porch.
the shack is a hot spot of enemies ,,,and the note is not fixed with any detonation yours or from the enemy the note will fly away ..approach with careful pick the note on then porch beside the pillar kill the stag '' one advice go alone with no companions ,,any wrong kill and the mission will fail
I also can't find the shack. Tommy, Tonny quest completed for me prior, but there was no quest prompt for the Secret Map (I assumed that was intentional). Searched extensively east of Tenpines, found a few wooden shacks but none with notes of any sort. Kinda stuck right now.
The only place I could find that made the most sense was perhaps the bombed out house on the other side of the tracks just north of the derailed train? No sign of a note yet. Does anybody know if there's a console command for the note?
Same issue. Console commands to setstage don't work for me, nor dropping and picking up both uniques. The quest is greyed out in my log while the final stage hasn't completed. Hoping for a future fix. Otherwise thanks for an immersive weapon mod!
Map shows the shack being south east of Tenpines, while comments claim it is north of tenpines. I tried the setstage commands mentioned, it did not work, tried dropping the guns and picking them up again, that doesn't work either. I give up. And for the life of me, why would you include a map showing the shack to the south when everyone claims it's to the north? Reminds me of taking directions from my ex-wife. Just do the opposite of whatever she says, and it'll probably be correct.
Edit...ok, it is the bombed out house at the bottom of the hill that you can easily see from TenPines. The house right by the derailed train that has the power armor in it. The note is sitting on the railing of the front porch, it is not tacked up on a post or wall like most, it's just sitting on the railing. Once you read the note, the radstag quest begins, and good luck with that. haha. You'll have like 4 or 5 markers for radstags with white stripes on them, SAVE YOUR GAME HERE! Shoot the wrong radstag, and the quest fails. And good luck finding the one with blue tape on it, cause I never found or saw any blue tape. I got lucky because my companion decided to go all shoot-em-up and kill a radstag that I had just checked out with my binoculars and instead of seeing the familiar Failed quest message, she actually shot the right one! I turned it over, searched all over it, and never found any blue tape. But whatever, after many failures, I simply lucked into completing that quest and returned to the porch and retrieved my Tapemacuzi-9, and it indeed has blue tape on it. So....to sum up, the map sends you south, when you should go north. The radstags all have white stripes on them, and good luck finding one that looks different and has some blue tape on it. I never found any blue tape, just did a lot of save scamming and eventually shot the right radstag (actually, Heather shot it as I frantically tried to stop her. haha Just another reason to love Heather).
BTW....I never did get the Tommy, Tonny? quest to check off. Oh, and don't expect the house to have radstags in it. I went to the house twice before finding the note. First time it had mongrels in it, the second time it had radroaches and bloodbugs. Once I finally found the note on the railing of the porch, I got markers on the hud for either 4 or 5 radstags, all within about 100 yds of the house. All in different directions of course, and they move around....a lot.
https://imgur.com/a/vB9ZJpU You can see the blue tape here. It's incredibly small, so you basically have to get within a couple feet of the thing to see it. Its on one of thing chest arms radstags have, and the tape is about an inch wide, so very easy to miss.

I don't get it...
Painters tape-
Why? the meme of using the worst tape for the job? I need some 100mph tape
OR better yet, some GD Flex seal
Blue duct tape?
Well, then.
