Just find the DEF_HUD.xml file, open it as notepad, find HUDcrosshair_mc and edit the "flag" option number from "0" to "255", and you're done!
Easiest way to find where it's located is to right-click the mod in your load order tab and chose "open in explorer", that should automatically open this mod specific files.
Edit: After diddling around in game (again), I found it annoying that the dot stays on when a weapon holstered, so I found this nice mod to fix it in case anyone need it.
Is there any real way of scaling the UI up a touch? I find it a bit small and would like to have a bit larger and that option isn't available in the MCM or in game it seems
I love your UI preset, been using it with DEFUI for a while now but recently switched to FALLUI HUD. I was wandering if it is possible to import the preset since i no longer use DEFUI nor DEFHUD. Many thanks and once again great work!
hello there, first thanks for the amazing UI, i love it, but i tried to enable the crosshair, for some reason when i open hudmenuset.exe, i get the vanilla version and not yours, i am using mo2, is there a way to enable the crosshair? since am not getting your UI in the exe?
That is very odd. HUDMenuSet.exe should be reading from your "DEF_HUD.xml" file - which, if you installed my UI, would already be from this mod (the download replaces said file, after all).
If you're only seeing the vanilla UI and not mine when launching it, I can only assume that you either haven't installed this mod properly, or something has screwed up with your DEF_HUD installation.
that's weird, i installed it directly with mo2, and showed that it overwrittten the def_hud.xml, and it worked perfect in the game, i will try to install it manually and see what happen.
thanks for the reply
edit:i figured what was the issue, apparently if you open the hud setting from within the MO2 data tab, it will show the vanilla layout, i opened it from the executable (explore virtual folder and behold, it was there)... thank you for the reply and thank you for the best UI
There's your problem - MO2. It installs to a virtual folder, so you'll have two separate DEF_HUD.xml's somewhere, likely in MO2's virtual folder, and the normal game folder itself.
Go to Fallout 4 > Data > Interface and launch "HUDMenuSet.exe". Then just scroll your mouse over the greyed-out crosshair in the center and use the "1" number key to switch it back on. Press CTRL + S to save it and then place the newly generated DEF_HUD.xml file into Fallout4\Data\interface\DEF_CONF
