Why reduce scopes? If anything, remove zoom from sights and don’t touch scopes. Weird that that isn’t already a thing.

Any chance you could make a version that shortens the view even more? Specifically for iron sights and non magnified optics, also what values did you change in order to edit the zoom? I'd like to do it myself if you don't fancy working on it anymore.

I'm not sure currently how to lower the zoom on iron sights. I *think* there is an ini setting that does that.

I also thought about trying to add negative values for the FOV mult on iron sights but I'm doubtful that would work.

To edit this mod yourself the values for non-magnified optics are under "object modification". They all have the word sight or scope in their name.
To change the big scope zoom values and a few other random weapons, those are found under the "zoom" settings.

The easiest way to edit this would be to open it up in FO4edit, that way you don't have to hunt down every sight and scope. On each object modification there is a setting for FOVmult. So 1.00 would be no zoom. By default most weapons have a zoom of 1.5, and this mod lowers it to 1.25. Some weapons like lasers are a bit different because the actual sight is very far away from the camera.

      Thanks man appreciate this comment.
Was messing with FO4 edit & was curious how to lower the zoom in.
Changed FOVMulti to 1 & now zero zoom in.

      Thanks a lot PHANTOMHATE !
The only tweak i found so far , that really works for iron sights .
Though there is a minor screen stutter when pushing the aim button .

may you add version where iron sights are 100% no zoom, but scopes are untouched?

I do not currently know how to completely remove the zoom when using iron sights, I tried to figure it out. I've read that there may be an ini setting somewhere that does it, but I didn't have any luck with what I found.

Quick question, does this work with weapon mods?

Scopes will work if they use the default scope settings, anything that's not a scope will have to be manually edited unfortunately, such as a reflex sight.

Do you know if there's a way to do this in third person?

Hmm, I do not know what settings do this in 3rd person. I think if anything, there would probably be an ini setting for that.

If I find out I'll let you know!

Not sure if it'll work with this mod but I use MGS aiming for first person aiming while playing in third person hopefully it'll work for you.
