Stopped working for me after upgrading to .138: Chem is being consumed but menu doesn't appear. Can anybody confirm?

EDIT: The BA2 was damaged; Re-Downloading fixed it.

Any chance we could get a version that replaces the chem station item with a MCM menu option? I'm not a fan of using a chem station to configure mods.

This is such a great mod!

I edited it for my personal use, adding some more wire colors, like brown, turqoise, the default dark gray (RGB 65/65/65) and an invisible "color" as well. I also tweaked the color value for the gray setting a bit -as those wires were hardly distinguishable from the white ones- and added a cancel option to the color selection menu.

Wouldn't mind sharing if I can get permission to do so.

Just want to send a note to say this is a great mod. Easy to use. Made the wiring of my factory easy to identify, especially while using logic gates.
    Thanks for the great mod.

Would really love to use this, but can't get it to work at all.

Copied the two files (BA2, ESP) to the DATA folder. Then tried everything listed in http://wiki.tesnexus.com/index.php/Fallout_4_Mod_Installation#Enabling_Plugins to enable it - but nada, nothing, zilch.

Load order doesn't show anything and the chem is not available for crafting under "utility".

I'm not using any other mods. What might I be missing?

Err.. meant to write that Load Order does show the Power Line mod, but the chem is not available for crafting.

OMG I'm an idiot... never mind!

Didn't install F4SE properly, so that's why it didn't work. All good now - many thanks for the mod! :)

Hi GenghisKhanX, thanks for the nice Mod.

Is there any Chance for an "invisible Color"? So the Powerlines can only be seen in Workshop Mode but not in Game? That's one of my greatest whishes for F4! There is already a Mod which makes the Powerlines invisble, but also in Workshop Mode.

    Kind Regards
    Rom

Sorry I missed your original comment. I don't know how to make stuff visible only in workshop mode. I could ask around.

That would be very kind. Maybe there is a hint: There is already this mod which makes the wires invisible.

      https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/21874

Problem with this one is that they are invisble in Workshopmode also.

      Kind Regards

The fact that you were able to make a mod that allows "different versions" of the power line cable gives me hope for an idea I have. You know the "Conduit" items added by the contraptions workshop DLC, those metal pipes that transmit power? I liked the idea of those, but I'm disapointed that they're so ridgid and awkward, and can only be built horizontally.

Well, the thought I have is; what if you could have a power transmission system that works like the power line/cable system, except you just draw straight pipes between little joint pieces(which would probably just be little metal balls you place out). The pipes could look more like the wasteland workshop Conduit pieces, except based on the power cable mechanic so you can draw them as you like. That'd be really convenient, you could easily draw them along the walls or the ceiling of house, fitted snuggly along corners or against the wall without a bunch of exposed cables and insulators sticking out everywhere. It would also be much easier to draw them along the ground, since they wouldn't sag like the cables do.

I guess I feel like I'm begging you to make a mod for me, which feels a bit rude, but if you can make the power cables come in different colors, maybe you could make them use another mesh as well? I get the impression that it could be doable, and I think it'd be useful.

Sadly, power lines are a different animal than those conduits. They're called Bendable Splines, and they are rendered by the engine when you "draw" them (rather than having a .NIF model). Off the top of my head, I really can't think of a way to do what you're asking. Sorry :-(

I must admit, this is quite a clever way of doing this. Nice.
