I don't know what to do with this thing. It used to work for me just fine, but I've recently come back to the game and can't get it to work at all. Automatron I get silence, and Nuka World I get adult voice. It works for Far Harbor though, as well as vanilla. So I'm at a complete loss. Sucks, because I've just started Nuka World content and that means I'm going to have my kid character talking like an adult for the foreseeable future, which kills my immersion.
Thanks so much for that. I've disabled this mod and am now using the one you linked and it works great. I even managed to replace my original Automatron voice file and it's working as well.
the instructions for the dlc patches are almost close to impossible cuse it doesn't work at all for me cuse i dont hear any voice from my character at all ah lol its also slightly irritating that by the looks of it the author abandoned this project cuse it hasn't been getting anymore feedback our updates to my knowledge
This mod has worked very well for me so far, but one odd thing happened: When I was talking to Ellie at Valentine Detective Agency about the Nakano quest, suddenly my voice deepened to the vanilla voice. It confused me because it sounded like Nick was talking, but my lips were moving. haha
After I left the conversation with Ellie and went to talk to Nick, my voice was back to the higher male voice again. Weird.
It is because this mod only changes the vanilla voices, and when you talked to the Nakano family, it was voice lines from the Far Harbor DLC. The author has released packs for the DLC though =)
Also - I guess dialog from the Vault-Tec workshop won't be changed since that wasn't included. I appreciate the higher voice for the rest of the game though!
So what are people doing to install this currently? I can unpack the voice ba2 archives and this mods contents to merge and repack them but that seems like a bit much for most people to be doing.
Edit: Well, it *does* work so there's that! I just did this for the entire set of files: 1. Created a working folder with the standard voice ba2 files extracted to it 2. Created another folder with this mod's ba2 files extracted to it 3. Merged them together by copying the mod files over the standard files. I saved a copy of the mod files in case the standard sounds update. 4. Used archive2.exe from the CC to create a new BA2 called (Custom Voice - Main.ba2) to put in Fallout's data folder. That took a good long time. 5. Created an empty esp named "Custom Voice.esp" in the data folder with the creation kit to put in my load order.
