I say this is a mandatory mod for everyone that uses the settlement mechanic. Fast traveling to each damn farm to tell them to work or defend themselves all around the map then suddenly, an ingame month has past.
This is one of those mandatory mods that everyone should have. Considering that the night time is 1000 times longer than day time, this mod is a must. In fact, there needs to be a mod that disables night time entirely. There's nothing realistic about days being 23 hours of darkness with 1 hour of sunlight.
This still works today on my downgraded next gen update. Using twice as fast version with survival options mod to allow fast travel, needs still increase after travel but with the reduced time I don't need to drink 3 waters every time I end at my destination. Thank you for this simple and effective mod!
Hmmm. I wish I knew the math equation for this. Because I'm pretty sure your "twice as fast" is 2.0. And if your "instant" option is 1000.0, then what's between 2.0 and 1000.0? lol. I don't want fast travel to be instant, but I also want it to be faster than "twice as fast". Hmmm. For example, instead of 5 hours passing at 1.0, only 10 minutes pass. Something like that.
lol, right. That’s why it makes sense that 2.0 is “twice as fast” or “x2” like you said. But that still doesn’t answer my question. (Which really isn’t important. I just know there’s gotta be a number before 1000 that makes it instant.)
Right now, my game’s setting is 3 (if I recall correctly). Not instant, but definitely quicker. I’m wanting to get pretty close to instant, but not quite.
I’ll just keep fiddling with it. All this is rhetorical, btw. No one feel obligated to respond to this. lol. Just kind of thinking out loud.

2.0 => 2x as fast
1000 => 1000x as fast (so basically instant)
