Battlebox Radio
by Dude211212

Description:
The goal of this radio is to make anywhere in Fallout feel like a warzone. On your pip boy you can tune into the sounds of gunfire and explosions for a more immersive experience, or place radios in your settlement to make it sound like anarchy is just outside the gates.

I noticed while living at the combat zone the ambience of random gunfights breaking out across downtown. But as I cleared one street after another, the fighting died down and the theater district felt... lonely. So I set out to rectify that.

The radio receiver is under decorations -> miscellaneous next to the other receivers.

This mod uses all in-game audio files. I don't have a ps4 version up and running yet, but I will soon. Because it's all in game files, it will actually sound like NPCs are fighting near you. Don't get confused. If you don't like it, post in the comments and if there's enough of you I'll make a standalone mod with separate audio.

In further detail, each audio file of gunfire and explosions has four layers to it, and depending on your distance to the sound emitter one of the four layers will play for you. Layer A sounds near, Layer D sounds far away. I took the Layer D sound files for the rifle reports, car explosions, etc and converted them to stereo output and put them together in a randomize script. Now, it sounds like there's nearby fighting!
