Love this mod!!! The base damage is like 1/2 to 2/3 of other 10mm guns, so when I found it I thought "Damn, it's underpowered." Not at all. The deadeye perk is genius, so I don't have to constantly go into VATS. Great idea for a mod, so kudos!
Thank you so much, hamletsdead! The starting stats are actually the same as vanilla on Eradicator aside from legendary effect, and the special receivers meant for late game balancing are only available from Gun Nut 3+. It's a very simple mod, but I think this effect is really fun to play with. :-)
The upgrades are directly tied to 10mm pistol itself, so you can take any 10mm pistols you find in game, and use the workbench to install the upgrades added in this mod. You can just ignore the legendary version, and the upgrades will still work. Would this be what you are looking for?
Yeah, I'd take the legendary if it were hidden or I felt like I'd earned it, but as it stands I guess I can throw it off a cliff or put it on a corpse.
This particular mod. again, was my beginner project to understand how weapon system worked in Fallout 4, and I didn't know how to go further with integrating the item into game better at the time. It is not that giving away items this way is my taste, but this was my first little weapon project and what you find here is all I could handle at the time.
Anyway, there's nothing too difficult to do in this mod, and I think anyone can take on it as a beginner project. Creation Kit is free to download for everybody, and I think you should try it.
1) the mod is not turned on (no gun, you find no new receivers at weapon workbench) 2) the mod is installed correctly, but there's another mod using that space where the box is (no box containing gun, but you find all the receiver upgrades at the weapon workbench)
Since you are installing this manually, I assume that you are not using Nexus Mod Manager?
In case of #1, make sure the "Eradicator10mm.esp" is turned on in a mod manager of some sort. If you are using Fallout 4's in-game mod manager, go to "Mods" after you start the game. Then you should see an option to change loading order for mods at the bottom - choose that option, and you'll see which mods are loaded and in what order. You can activate the mod there.
(I admit that I have a tendency to forget to turn on plugins after throwing them into Data folder manually myself, lol. I hope your case is as simple.)
In case of #2, can you think of another mod that maybe using that placement? If this is the case, try turn off that mod temporarily, and see if the box containing Eradicator shows up. Once Eradicator is in your possession, you can turn back on the other mod.
That's all I can think of at the moment, but please let me know if the above solves your problem?
If you are not using Nexus Mod Manager, I highly recommend you using it, because it simplifies the installation process and managing mods. Gopher did great videos explaining what it is about :
Yeah, I think it's the most interesting legendary effect in the game, and it changed the way I play. I think it's awesome on 10mm because of the sound.
it certainly was a nice addition, when the previous recommended legendary for anything was two shot. my favorite usage of it is lazy sniping with a laser musket.
If you feel like trying a different play style, get the "Moving Target" perk, run right up to the enemies, and gun them down at close range with Eradicator. I was sniping a lot before, but now I'm preferring to run and get close because of deadeye. Seeing their faces up close as they die and blood flying out of their bodies in slow motion - now, that's MURDER, my friend. Mwahahahaha. :D
