Does this require a new game or perhaps a game that has a save that takes place before Old Guns? I installed after completing the quest, but the barrel doesn't show for laser weapons.
*edit* Ignore. I had done 99% of Old Guns, but neglected to speak to Garvey. Guess my purposefully wanting to avoid talking to him came back to bite me.
ha! I just installed 'Simple Artilllery' to run around a bugged Old Guns quest.. and PRESTON is becoming my first Sanctuary Artilleryman in a couple of Hours .. after lunch :)
I use this with configurable artillery. works fine. however. there is only 1 shell deliver for each laser shot. I thought the artillery should be raining down like demonstrated by Ronnie Shaw?
I don't know about you but I had to manually activate the plugin at Vortex after installing because for some reason it didn't do so automatically after it got installed.
Has anyone found the console command for this mod? for some reason Ronny wont spawn for me even though I cleared out all the mirelurks with Preston and without her I can't start/ complete the Old guns quest.
You have to wait a few (3 I think) in-game days before either Preston comes to tell you, or the game will send you a notification to go to the Castle where she'll be waiting.
I'm using a weapons replacer to get rid of vanilla lasers, but now I can't even add a vanilla laser weapon into my inventory using console commands. I just need one laser pistol so I can add the modded barrel. Anyone know how I might be able to do this despite having the replacer?
Downloaded into an existing game with plenty of current mods and old guns completed, went to diamond city and bought a laser rifle and modded it at the work bench beside the salesman to a pistol grip with long range scope and it instantly worked as a posted, thanks for the great mod ! endorsed !
Question, I use the simple artillery strikes mod that makes it so you don't have to do the old guns quest to build and use artillery, would this work with that?

you need a Laser Rifle and dont attach any beam focuser or split beam those will nullifies the Targeting Barrel

Don't use the laser pistol to fight raiders in close combat :-D

Only thing I would make different is the sound of the shot, it sounds like a gunshot.
