is there any way to make them not show up as an enemy? When I'm in combat with raiders the rad chicken always shows up as a threat.

I installed this mod but it doesn't work, do they spawn in or do I have to create them? Is there another mod that needs to be on for this one to work?

Oh man, I miss this mod now that I'm playing SS2.  I installed it automatically then wondered why my chickens still looked plucked.  I hope that you come back and decide to make a version for SS2.  I miss my perty chickens!  LOL, thanks for your work.

I'll be one of those Commonwealth Chickens and Rabbits users asking for a patch for the more variations version

Thanks for the work! Looks great.

I'm sorry for the late reply
I have little time to continue working here!
I used the mod Commonwealth Chickens and Rabbits for a long time myself. When I have time I do a patsch.
But that can take a while. If you use one of the optional files that will work with Commonwealth Chickens and Rabbits, but all chickens have the same feathers.

I installed the all colors standalone file and added some chickens with placeatme console command. All the chickens were still featherless. This mod was at the bottom of my load order.

Thanks for a nice little mod. Additions to Fallout 4 like this keep the game interesting. I do have a slight problem though. I first installed one of the separate colored chicken mods and it worked great with Ceano's Farming Resources mod. I was able to change to the different types as well. I am trying the new cdante standalone and though I can still create chickens, there is no variety. Any idea what I could be doing wrong?

Oops, it should not be that way!
I also had a single color and switched to cdante. there were no problems with me! That is probably one of the challenges of modding!

Will look for a solution but it could take time!

JamesRook, how do you test exactly? since it's added to leveled lists it won't work with chickens already spawned in your game. it will only work with newly spawned ones.

      That is not the problem!
Farming Resources apparently uses copy chickens with their own ID! The Leveled list only works with the original chickens. New chickens automatically have the original texture, or the replacer!
you would need a compatibility patch for all mods working with chickens!
Do not know if that's possible!

Thanks for replying so quickly. As for testing, I installed the black mod, went in game and created chickens from the Farming Resources mod. I get the black chickens. Disabled that mod and installed cdante's mod (thank you sir) and created probably 30 chickens as a test. They were all the same. Disabled the mod and installed the white mod - white chickens.

Thanks BerndR. I have no clue as to how to make a patch so I guess my chickens will have to all be the same. Actually, that's the way they are on chicken farms so it's immersive.

cdante - thank you so much - was not expecting that. Just goes to show you how great the modding community is. Thanks again. Tested the patch - I now have multi-colored chickens! Great job!

      Hi cdante
I'll take the patch to the downloads!
Probably "Commonwealth Chickens and Rabbits" users will ask soon. jet4571 has inserted his chickens in the same way.
I used the mod for a long time, until AltairP brought out its Animal Farm!

    I LOVE THIS MOD!

    WINNER - WINNER, CHICKEN DINNER!

Works like a rooster should with Sim Settlements.

    Thank you for sharing!

    ENDORSED!

how about a all in one pack that will give you a chance to have many colors of chickens running around?? just wondering if you can do that ... they all look great.

this could be added nicely to leveled lists by a script with their own skin variations without breaking anything.
