I read the description and did everything right, however none of the NPCs are named still. not sure why, as I have no other settler or NPC naming mods.
So apparently the Institute are really into cloning . . . I met Jared Smith in the atrium, and there were two more of him at the reactor. Also, it seemed like half the Brotherhood members at Mass Fusion were called Pharis or McQueen. This mod loads after Immersive Settlers, so I can't think of anything else that might make me keep seeing double during the third act of the main questline. Not really a game-breaker, but . . . "didn't I already kill him? And him?? And him?!?"
I took a peek in FO4Edit, and I can see why this happens - "InstituteScientistMale" is renamed to Jared Smith, but even though there is only one placed reference that uses that record as-is, several other NPC records like "InstituteScientistMaleBioscience" use it as a template, and those have not been given distinct names by this mod yet, so they pick up the name from "InstituteScientistMale" (now Jared Smith instead of the less-obviously-cloned "Institute Scientist"). I haven't verified for the Brotherhood, but there's probably something similar going on there.
Edit: for the Brotherhood, it's even worse - Pharis and McQueen are part of Leveled NPC lists, so they aren't meant to have specific names ahead of time (the "Enc" (encounter, presumably) prefix for the editor id should have been a tip-off).
Also, I looked closer at the changes for Jared Smith - this mod removes the "Institute Worker" template that takes care of MQ207-related scripting, and adds "MQ207ActorFailureScript" with no properties attached, which seems unlikely to work properly.
What more info do you need? I layed it all out for you. I installed the mod. I found the chest at the minuteman statue. I took the book. Yay. Have a book. I wander the commonwealth. I see a person. I go up to person. "Hi, my name is Sole Survivor." "Hi Sole Survivor, my name is Settler." People I Run Into Are Known As Settler And Not "John Jameson". How's that for context? Still need more information? Or does the mod not name random settlers and such running around in the wastes?
So, you haven't read the description of the mod. Read the description of the mod. When it will be done, give me useful information, the kind of which I can work with, not a angry message because you can't bother to read a description.

I will update that post every time an update will be released.
