If you like the mod: Endorse it!

If you really like the mod: Vote for it!

Load order hitting the limit? This mod is set up internally to be an ESP or ESL, you can change the file extension as you please.

Blurry textures on some skins? You need the 2k or 4k skinpack at gumroad.com/niero

Why would you put the skin pack behind an ad for your gumroad? ...

This was the worst modding experience I've encountered in over 10 years: Buying a skin pack for a weapon mod ...

I mean, yea sure, you get it for free with that code, but it is still a purchase with a receipt.
Please, enlight me on how you made that decision as I am very curious about that.

Worst experience in 10 years? Come on dude get real.

Also, the author explained why Gumroad was used in the description, why don't you take the time to read everything before commenting?

" Q: Why do this if everything to do with the mod is free anyway?
A: Several reasons: This keeps the filesize down so people can get the mod quickly. People who don't care about the extra skins don't have to download an extra Gig of content. Gumroad also offers an uncapped bandwidth limit for all users (Nexus caps at 1024 kb/s), which is ideal for huge files like the 4k texture pack. This also streamlines donations for the folks that don't want to deal with paypal. "

Should have seen something like that coming ...

How dare you to accuse me of lying just like that? "It is real, dude". Haven't modded that much in my life at all. It may not compare to your worst experience, but it still is mine. I always wanted to keep it nice and simple, which made me skip a lot of those experiences you probably have heard of or made. To me this is obviously bad enough.

Here are the parts which you mentioned about explaining why gumroad was used and I'll explain how this does not explain it to me. Maybe I'm just dumb, maybe not. Let's find out, please.

This mod is feature complete from the Nexus download, it's mechanics are fully functional. However I have also made available a 'skin pack' through Gumroad for free at gumroad.com/niero

-Every part of the mod is completely free
-The Nexus download is fully functional with 2k resolution for the first 3 skins.
-The extra skins in the Nexus download use low-res placeholders to give you a preview and keep file size down.
-The Gumroad download is "pay what you want", with a minimum of 0.00 USD.
-Meaning that every part of this mod is still free. No charges are required anywhere, and if you do choose to pay it is still considered a donation.
-There is a second texture download that ups the resolution all of the skins including the three base skins to 4k resolution.
-You do not need to give gumroad a real email address to access the download.

Q: What is in the download at Gumroad?
A: Texture files pre-packed into a BA2. Installing the 2k or 4k pack is as simple as dropping the " - textures.ba2" in your fallout4/data folder.

      Q: Do I need a Gumroad account?
A: Nope, Gumroad remembers what you've downloaded based on the email you give it. If you want to download something again later but don't remember the link you can make an account with the same email and it will show up at gumroad.com/library. Because the content is free you do not need to give Gumroad a real email address, the download link is provided on-site.

Q: Why do this if everything to do with the mod is free anyway?
A: Several reasons: This keeps the filesize down so people can get the mod quickly. People who don't care about the extra skins don't have to download an extra Gig of content. Gumroad also offers an uncapped bandwidth limit for all users (Nexus caps at 1024 kb/s), which is ideal for huge files like the 4k texture pack. This also streamlines donations for the folks that don't want to deal with paypal.

Keep the file size down? Well, the author split it from the main mod for gumroad, right? Where's the difference if he would have uploaded it here?

Uncapped bandwidth sounds nice, but if this is truly about that, the motive behind is to offer a better experience for the downloader, right? So, why put it behind a payment which you get for free with a discount code? Why not upload somewhere else where you have uncapped bandwidth while downloading without the other hassle? And by the way, there are really huge mods uploaded here.

I do not really understand what is meant by "streamlining donations". But I think it is a nice idea to offer something else than paypal. This could be done by just linking it here - like I've seen other people do.

Please, let me know if I am missing something here. I am not here to blame -  it's either learning or helping.

This is what the Cryolator should have been! I added a legendary Freezing mod to the weapon, makes it nearly perfect

    Wish list:

    • Use cryo ammo by default
    • Modify damage to be 67/33 Cryo/ballistic
    • Keywords added to allow weapon to benefit from scopes & semi-auto firing perks (it seems that sneak attacks do occur with the suppressor)
    • Recon, thermal (this is a very modern weapon afterall) and 8x magification options on scopes

Can this safely be patched out of leveled lists, doesn't make sense to find it on vendors or enemies, only upgraded from cryolator.

You can delete the [quest] record and it will no longer show up in vendors, you will need to do a clean save for the change to take effect.

Can anyone give me a quick explanation of how to change it's damage type to Cryo, please? I'm just super new to xEdit, and I'm not very sure of how to do that.
In the few sections where I found the word "damage" the settings seem to be for cryo damage already, despite the game saying it's balistic, so Idk what I'm supposed to do.

Great mod, regardless. Been using it for quite a while.

"The Cryolance is mostly a ballistic weapon, however there is a Cryo damage component that bypasses virtually any defenses. The weapon can be tuned at a weapons bench to improve it's Cryo damage further. Unique to most Science! based weapons, the Cryolance can be suppressed with a special addon" i imagine this means its a component to add at a weapon bench not in xedit... unless i misunderstood your endgoal....

Hello, first off, thank you for this mod, this gun is amazing, I love cryo weapons in any game, plus the idea of playing a Science based Soldier is awesome. I'm actually playing Fallout 4 for the first time so I'm getting all the mods and ideas for how I will be playing down before setting off into the wasteland. So I appreciate this mod very much.

I have a question if possible. Since I am new, I'm not sure what this gun is classified as, so I'm not sure what Perks work for it. Is it a Laser weapon so Synth Body or other laser perks work with it, is it a Rifle like the Gauss so Rifleman works with it?

Is there any way or anywhere I could find this information out?

You might enjoy this mod which also answers your question: Vanillafied - Cross Cryolance

I also recommend you to check out the requirements of any mod you are interested in to find patches, addons, etc.
