In version 1.00 the marker works everywhere, including the territory of settlements. In most cases, the mod does not work with mods that use alternative activation keys "R" or "Spacebar" and do not have the ability to temporarily disable them.
In this mod, you can mark the armor and leave it anywhere. The mark remains until the cell is reseted. In the settlements, this happens only because of a major breakdown in the game.
For me, it works on containers but not beds. I'm guessing it's a mod conflict, but I don't know of anything else that uses the Space key. I equip the baton and face my bed, all I have is E for sleep... but if I immediately turn to face a container (dresser in this case) I now have the Space key for ownership option. Anyone seen this before and/or know what mod could be doing it?
This is probably a conflict with the mod that adds the "R" key to interact with beds when the baton is removed. If in the settings of that mod it is possible to disable the hot key, then the issue will be resolved.
I lose the bed ownership at times. My guess is that the game shuffles the bed assignments whenever an assigned bed is removed or a settler is reassigned to another assigned bed. When this happens, if one of the beds is marked using Security Furniture Marker, that is most likely reset. So in my case, marking a bed is permanent as long as I don't fiddle with other assigned beds.
Thanks for making this. I didn't understand the main page description lol.
For anyone confused, it makes a police baton you can equip as a weapon, then you gain the ability to press space (in my game it's space) on an item to toggle it for you only, or for all people.
You use one or more mods that equate the settlers with you in terms of ownership of things. When you disable these mods, most likely the problem will not be solved. The only solution now is to use a different mod to protect things.
Hi, could you make, or do you know of, a mod that can keep companions and named settlers assigned to their furniture and by extension their house?
What I mean is, with this mod I can say what's mine, but even with Mama Murphy who has a chair to herself, if I put her chair at the end of her bed and assign her to that bed she will only use it the next night, or not at all if I load a new cell or fast travel.
I'd really like to tailor houses to characters (Longs together, Atom Cats/Hot. Rodder for Sturges, Minutemen for Preston, Comfortable and Cozy for Murphy, Nuka Cola for Sheffield ETC.) But short of giving them a player home each I don't know what to do.
With this mod, you can assign ownership only to the player, or cancel the right for any thing. Assign the right to other NPCs this mod can not. In order for your NPS to use only the selected furnitures and no other, you need not only to assign the ownership of these furnitures, but also to take away the ownership of all the furnitures in their location. There is another way to force the use of, for example, a specified bed or a specified chair. This method is not based on ownership. But it will have to completely change the vanilla behavior for this NPC. I have not seen such mods.
I understood the functionality of this mod "with this mod I can say what's mine". I was kinda just hoping that someday somebody may see this and point me to a mod that assigns or claims the bed for an NPC, The Sims 4 or Oxygen Not Included style.
You have me intrigued "There is another way to force the use of, for example, a specified bed or a specified chair. This method is not based on ownership."
I'm no modder but I imagine the only way to do this would be to look at how Mama Murphy's chair works and then make a bed for each Companion and named settler. Double beds for couples such as the longs for example. I also think it would be cool if you could assign Automantrons (that fit) to Protectron pods that they go and power down in. Useful for displaying what you've built, and will lower settlement chatter. A terminal that recalls all robots?
To achieve what you want, it is necessary for each creature to create an alias reference alias and a package using a hardware object. Then in the game you need: 1. To fix the selected fitting object with reference to the selected creature, so that the creature finds and uses this object. 2. Give this object to the property of the chosen creature so that no one else can use that object so that the object is free. 3. And in the ending assign this alias to the creature. It is useful to you for the realization of desires in the game.

Never leave your keys in the car. They can't take it if it has no power.

Then you unequip the baton and then you're done!

I ramble a lot.
1. To fix the selected fitting object with reference to the selected creature, so that the creature finds and uses this object.
2. Give this object to the property of the chosen creature so that no one else can use that object so that the object is free.
3. And in the ending assign this alias to the creature.
