I installed the mod because it looked cool. I always thought it was odd that you could see inside the frame when there was no fusion core in the socket. With this mod installed it looks like an empty void. From far away, you see this very noticeable black dot in the power armor, and it honestly looks better as vanilla. If anyone who is talented in creating these sorts of things, or if this mod author is reading this. I would suggest replacing the black void with a socket for the fusion core. Like a plug goes into a wall socket. Or at least, add some shadows to the socket hole and reduce the opacity of the black void. Just my suggestions. With some tweaks, I believe this mod could bring some necessary immersion to the game.
For some reason this is not working for me. Yes I have checked for mod conflicts, and I do not believe there are any. I am familiar with the way loose files work and stuff, but is there some reason why this would not work on an existing save? It should work - I know but I am at a loss, I've tried everything so I guess I'm just indulging theories that I'm sure are not the problem.
As a matter of fact no mod that I install to fix a mesh error on power armor frames/power armor is working. Did the official path for power armor change or something? Does the game not read those files anymore? Does this fix only apply to certain power armor frames/power armor that I don't have? -Just more theories I have about what the problem could be, not that I believe any of them are true, again I am at a loss.
Ok it appears that walking around in power armor with no fusion core works and has the modded black backing texture, but looking at stationary power armors (ones no one is in) doesn't work as the mod intends. I assume that is what the "furniture" path in the mesh folder refers to - that one still doesn't work, and I don't know why.
Side note: I have discovered that having the unofficial patch causes all of the other power armor mesh fixes I have to start working (even though they do not list the unofficial patch as a requirement). Perhaps that has to do with the fact that those alter the meshes of the armor pieces whereas this mod alters the frame itself. I don't know why that's the case, but it is a difference I found nonetheless and perhaps useful to getting to the bottom of my problem.
Update: Found the secret. Ini tweaks - I had no idea ini tweaks where required for me to run certain mods on fallout 4. Maybe this was an obvious change for people who had been playing since the game came out, but I only got into fo4 recently and Skyrim didn't require any such changes so I didn't know... Anyway this is great and it was sorely needed!
This mod masks a real difference to Fallout 4. I was hoping you could make a patch for Unique Power Armor Frames/Kooj's Unique Power Armor Frames please.
Asset use is open with credit, as I listed in the permissions. I don't use that mod, so I don't have an interest in a patch. You may try notifying him of the existence of this mod and its open asset use.
I'm glad someone still cares about these kinds of things. What really bugs me is the lack of holes in Vault Door doorframes. There's nothing for the pistons to slide into.

looting a fusion core into fusion reactor shows only empty...
