Yes, let me run out and install 16 more mods to support this one settlement, then do the same for what? 5 more settlements and be past my load limit just for 6 settlements or so?
Seriously, I know how hard people work to build settlements for us to download and use for free. I really really do appreciate all the hard work, but reality is, the less mods required, the more likely most will download it.
This one looks great, but I'l;l never know because of the number of required mods. I know it's no skin off your back whether I download and use it or not, but I guarantee you I'm not the only one that refuses to download mods that have that many requirements.
All I'm doing is making a suggestion. We all have our own mods to furnish a settlement. Just clean up an area, give us a couple of nice buildings maybe, leave em empty. Upload that version, then go do your thing with building it out the way you envisioned it and upload that as another option. Like a fully furnished apartment and an unfurnished apartment. Give users the choice.
I'll bet you get at least twice the number of downloads. You could even have a medium option, partially furnished. Anyway, not intending to tell you how to mod or saying you're doing anything wrong. Just throwing some thoughts out there for modders to think about.
First - I didn't build this for *anybody* else - I built it for *me*, using the mods *I* like. For *my* playthroughs. I give exactly zero effs about the number of downloads. It's here as a courtesy for others in the community, not a cry for fame or recognition. Second - there's a reason the mods required are listed - so you can know in advance if it's for you or not. If it's not, don't bother. Third - there are plenty of settlements out there that use no mods at all. It's a thing. So instead of throwing shade at me or other blueprint authors because we don't do things the way you'd like us to, why not stick to the ones you *do* like and give them the compliments they deserve?
Take your passive-aggressive snark and go back to reddit or 4chan, and let the adults in the room enjoy their games.
I hate to see this. Sorry for the necro posting but it must be done. You did not understand much. This guy is making a request and not doing anything passive agressive. You say you don't care about number of downloads when in reality you have enabled donations in all your mods pages. People don't care that the mod is made because *YOU* want it for YOUR playthroughs. When you share something be ready for critisism and requests. You don't need to be rude to someone and ask them to go to reddit or 4chan. That is totally unprofessional and unacceptable. With that comment you get more people angry or upset and ruin their mood/day. Anything you post in future , you must be ready to take in requests and be open minded about that. People love you more if you take requests and help them rather then sending them to reddit to cry about your mod having to many mods. You did a great job on the building the place up. Stay safe and wish you a good day.
Does anybody know where in the building menu I can find the Street Posts that the author used to light up this place? Or what mod? They require passive radius power and have a black, Victorian look. Thanks.
misalignment is usually caused by having left, or not being in, the settlement when it's being imported. Give it another shot while staying within the boundaries and let me know how it turns out?
Where were you standing while doing the import? Spectacle Island is a large build area and known for issues because of the number of cells it occupies. Did you leave the area at all during the import?
Is it just the docks you're missing? Did the turrets on the top of the docks get imported, or are they missing too? What about the condujits and wiring?
nuke it and try again. do NOT leave while the import takes place. do NOT go into workshop mode while the import takes place. Because of the weirdness of Spectacle Island, I'd suggest standing near the top of the hill, in the middle of the island, while the import takes place.
Having an issue with the install, for some reason after nuke and install old building still remain and the installed blueprint has old buildings meshed with new ie cant open a door because the old house in the way??Suggestions??
this seems the same on all your blueprints for some reason parts of the old settlement are built over. Some blueprints wont show in my transfer settlement menu and some do...Weird
because you have to remove the old buildings as well. You can use spring cleaning and/or scrap everything to remove them, or you can go to the console a) select the item you want to remove b) type "disable;markfordelete" and hit return
This is one of the problems with transfer settlements ....... there is no way to tell which item(s) the builder wants scrapped, and which ones he wants to remain. All I can do is say delete what you think you should delete, and after import, walk around - if you see something that doesn't look like it should be there, delete it.
That same advice is for ANY settlement from anybody. There is no way to know in advance.
The only thing I can think of there is that there may be another blueprint already in that slot. Go to Data\F4SE\Plugins\TransferSettlements\blueprints and look in the corresponding numbered directory - if there is more than one *.json file there, only one will show up in the menu. Move one of them to another (empty) slot, and you should be good to go.
I just saw how amazing your settlement built for spectacle island and decided to import from yours. However, It took me like 9 hours to finish importing. And worse, frame rate are horrendous, like only 5 or below fps. Are there any fix for those horrid framerate, because as soon as I leave spectacle island, my fps goes back normal.
My specs are i5-6500, nvidia 1060 gtx, & 8 GB ddr4. I even lower all my game setting to the lowest, including setting my resolution lowest possible, and that import took huge 9 hours and even then it's still super slow. Only after I left spectacle island, then my fps goes back smooth.
Please advice. Thx.
wow - I have no idea. my rig is a 6700 (better, but not THAT much better), and a 1070 (also better, but also not that much better), and 16GB. I also have all my video settings maxed out, and play at 2560x1440. My framerate on the island is pretty steadily between 45 and 60 fps.
Import time for me is about 20/25 minutes, so I have absolutely no idea what your problem might be. Do you have any mods that mess with spectacle island?
Here's all mod I have installed, including requirement for your blueprints as well: https://imgur.com/BSOu5OZ
And yes, I have already disabled all animation, use rapid preset, even face my camera to sky like you said, already learned that when tried to import from sanctuary blueprint listed in my mod list as well which has more than 4000 objects.
I'm using GotY version and updated to patch 1.10.82. Playing on Windows 10.
Also tried scrapall out of curiosity and my empty spectacle came back on smooth framerate.
One more thing, apparently when I tried to import your blueprint, message says that I have pre-required mods not installed yet, but I did install all from your list. And somehow, this "PCPO - Power Conduit" mod has asterisk on it, as if I didn't have it installed, which I did. I only checked the PCPO - CW - SKE before finish installing the mod though, since there's no clear instruction as to which option I need to check.
As for other imported blueprints, beside your spectacle blueprint, I only use vanilla version from same author that made this transfer settlement mods. Majority didn't have framerate issues except sanctuary which has slight lag but still playable since like I said, has more than 4000 objects in it.
BTW, I also imported yours not long after I finished main story, picking side with minuteman & blow up institute, but still neutral to both BoS & Railroad. Only touched Far Harbour expansion a bit, but that's only because I'm trying to clear Randolf Safehouse quest series from Railroad which oddly marked expansion sites at least twice, hence has no choice but to venture a bit into that expansion. Hasn't progressed further from initial opening quest. So yeah, that also means that I already imported majority of onyx blueprints on settlements I discovered, which begs to ask: does the game has limit to amount of object built on all settlements-combined, before it will tax game performance?
I think the culprit might be the PCPO. The "mod not installed" thing is because you have NOT got the esp installed that it was looking for. Bad message, could be clearer. Because I don't use SKE, I've just installed the CW version, which is what the blueprint is expecting. And, because SKE isn't installed - which that version would expect - it's probably throwing a metric buttload of papyrus errors that could be accounting for a lot of your import time.
Try installing the non-SKE version, and see what happens? You don't have SKE in there anyway, so it's not going to affect anything else
that seems to unmark it when I load up import settlement. However, message still says I still have missing plugins, and I have no idea what since the mod didn't display all requirements on screen: https://imgur.com/iqCsIVu
Anyway, I ended up scrapall, sent remaining settlers away (thx goodness only 3 shows up), and re-imported. Ended up using tcl and fly a bit high to sky and the process only took slightly more than half hour to finish. Unfortunately, when I move my sight to my settlement, framerate drops down horribly again to below 5 fps.
Well - I went through the requirements listed here and the blueprint to check for discrepancies, and I did find two - Instabell (https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/17217) and Do It Yourshelf (https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/14532) that wern't listed. When installing DIY, select the extra ammo and retexture options from the install menu. Neither of those are core, so no biggie if you don't.
I re-ran an import here on my machine yesterday, and it took 22 minutes, so your half hour is eminently reasonable given the differences in our hardware - and certainly an improvement over 9 hours :)
With regards to your framerate, I'm at a loss - I have no idea what might be causing that problem and tbh think the only way to fix that is to play with different graphics settings and see what does/doesn't work. All I can say is that I've not heard of that issue with this blueprint before, but I'll check with some people and see if any of them have any suggestions.

ok - I was just talking to some friends from transfer settlements. Some suggestions, and some general comments about possible causes. a) can you try importing with rapid preset? (all animations off). Also stare at the sky while importing - that can greatly affect items/sec. I personally use rapid, with item sorting by height. (It's done when the chicken's done :))
Also, your save file can affect it. If you've been playing the game for a long time, or installing/uninstalling a lot of mods, or if you HAVE a lot of mods, that can cause things to bloat and papyrus can become extremely slow. The suggestion was to try with a new game and minimal mods installed. I fully realise that won't help your current game, but in the long run, it might help you avoid issues like this in the future.
To be clear - what you are experiencing is NOT normal, and shouldn't be happening. There's something seriously wrong there.
Do you have this issue with other settlements or blueprints? If so, can you see anything they have in common? Differences from settlements that do NOT have this problem?
Great Mod much more than I was looking for, its really well done. Unfortunately I diddnt get the flowers in the court and also to me it looks like I should have downloaded a mod that levels spectacle island maybe? Apart from that its working above my expectations loving it
No, you don't need anything to level the island. But there are a few spots with dunes etc that I scrapped ......... you can do the same thing yourself by just selecting and disabling them. ` - enter console mode - select whatever it is you want to get rid of type "disable" and hit return (no quotes) There's only 3 or 4 of them ....... basically, if you see something you don't think should be there or don't want there, just disable it.
If the flowers you are referring to are the ones in the image posted by LadyAuditore, you would have to ask her - those are changes/additions she made herself, in her game, after she'd imported the blueprint.
Otherwise, if you have all the mods I've listed as requirements, you should have what I built.
