For some reason it doesn't actually change anything, the faces are still the same. I have looksmenu, Valkyr and Eyes of Beauty installed. Do I have to start a new game for it to work? Or is there a special load order? (I have Eyes of Beauty Kaleydoscope Edition - All in one)
Correct, you will need to start a new game for it to pre-load the replacers, HOWEVER there is a workaround if you are okay with using the console.
First, download the 'miscellaneous" presets for each character, then hit ~ in game to open the console and click the NPC to get their IDnumber, for example Piper would be 2f1f then you can do slm 2f1f which will open the Looksmenu on Piper, then hit R to bring up presets, scroll down to T's and you'll find the Tri-Companion ones, click Piper (or heck any other preset you want to use at this point) and it should update her.
Yeah, Curie's face has the Rusty face bug, maybe its conflicting mods but idk I'm not an engineer, got the rusty face fix mod and it still ain't working... :/
Most likely due to the following issue noted by the mod author for "Valkyr Female Face and Body Textures". I have been able to recreate this issue with this mod using certain HD Textures combinations ---------------------------------------------- For everyone who has "dark face" bug: this bug appears, when resolution (or compression method) of some of face textures do not fit others.
There are deafult resolutions for non-HD DLC game version:
_d: 1024 x 1024 _n: 1024 x 1024 _s: 512 x 512
There are deafult resolutions for HD DLC game version:
_d: 1024 x 1024 _n: 1024 x 1024 _s: 1024 x 1024
So, in case you have (for example) the game version with HD DLC installed, and will donwload the mod version with 512 x 512 res secaular map, it will bring the dark face bug, as well as if you have some other face textures installed, like brows, face scars, tattoos, makeup and such - if the resolution of even one of them will not fit the default, you'll seee "dark face" corrupted texture.
So double check what mod version you download, your game version, and what mods do you have installed. --------------------------------------------
hey, i've been trying to change the appearance of curie but when i open the slm menu and the preset it only change the body, any idea on how to fix it?
This is a great, Cait looks so good in this while having a look that feels very inline with her story. No regrets whatsoever choosing this mod. Worked for me easily, no changes required on my part as I had not met/spawned her when I picked up this mod. very very rarely get brown face bug, but using https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/31028?tab=posts keeps it away for all npcs and myself ingame.
I haven't met the other companions, but they look quite good and not overdone or anything judging by the screenshots and are likely just as good.
I will never be able to see Cait as any other look.
man i want this curie replacer with cait replacer from tri-companion 2. sadly the curie one is not working for some reason, try to use console with look menu preset its still not working.
Dear Lord, adn7, you've saved me one hell of a noob headache. I spent a few hours trying to google and figure out how I get Horizon to play ball with my personal Piper preset and you've provided the solution. And on top of that the best Curie look I've ever come across.
so question. im using this and i keep getting the brown face bug on only piper curie and cait. i have all mods installed properly. is there a reason in paticular?
It is usually due to conflicts in the resolution of the textures. First try putting the mod at the end of the load order and if it doesn't work try these mods:
Hey adn7 you had a mod called "companions and more replacers and looksmenu presets" which got hidden a longtime ago. Is there a chance that i could still get it?. :))

Awesome!
I'm glad you it worked
First try putting the mod at the end of the load order and if it doesn't work try these mods:
Rusty Face Fix
Or if you have the official High Res DLC
High Res DLC Black Face Fix
