I think my instance of BNS might be bugged - is the mod supposed to be this ... ugly? Here's a screenshot
It can't be as intended, right?
At first I thought it might have been a conflict with other tree mods, or a LOD incompability, but even after I've disabled all of my tree and LODs mods, the results is *exactly* the same.
Any idea what the issue could be, please?
EDIT: I've just added "Boston Natural Weathers", and it's a bit better now, but still washed out as hell.
It does look super washed out… are you using vivid weathers in that photo by any chance? Personally I think that mod looks terrible, and gives the type of washed out look in that pic. I’ve tried all the different weather mod combos with BNS 3.0, and by far the best looking one imo is NACX. With sat upped a couple of notches perhaps. With the vanilla landscape I find nacx to be a bit dull, but fits perfectly with the colours of bns, but not too colourful which I find bns to be by itself. All a matter of taste I suppose, but I’d say it’s worth a shot. So give that a try. And the other major thing - set shadow distance to a minimum of high. It makes a huge difference with this mod believe me. The medium distance is way lower, and it’s not a good look at all with all those shadowless trees.
Perhaps your view distance for trees is a bit too low as well? A bit hard to tell how far exactly those low texture trees in the far-ground are, and whether they’d be rendered or not with the settings I use, but I’d say that’s another thing worth looking into after nacx and shadow distance
Love this mod, best looking environmental mod out there imo, however I’ve been having an issue using 3.0 landscape + trees. When I load the game and walk around, certain trees are super low res and blurry with straight edges (still 3 dimensional) even when I’m right up next to it. Other trees are a combination of normal textures and the super low res ones. Then if I reload the save, what will either happen is the same thing again, or alternatively the trees which have that issue disappear completely, yet you can walk into them and get stuck/ shoot them and the bark etc will come off. So on some level they’re rendering. This is happening on PC, as well as on my Xbox console (tried deleting every single other mod I had on Xbox, still happened)
so I’m wondering if this is a normal occurrence with the mod, or something which coincidently is happening on two different platforms im using?
Thought something was messed up turns out I needed both the landscape and the tree's. A bit of stuttering but for the most part it seems overall better. Was using Another Green Mod and I think someone mentioned it broke precombines and I'm really trying not to do that.
You want to fix the fps and gpu overheating? and maybe you're like me who used the updated BRB's modding guide? and confused why your gpu overheating to 75% ! and even you have FPS limiter on? well easy fix:
Disable/Delete BNS 2.4 it not needed as 3.0 fixed alot of the issues and its stable! Download the optional BNS fps fix! NOW even with an ENB I assume you're using light/performance enb you won't go over 55% gpu overheating!...
