I'm trying to import the settlement, but it doesn't come up in the settlement blueprints. Help?

Hi there. I’m going to be honest with you: I have never made a mod before and so I can’t be 100% sure that the files I’ve uploaded even work correctly! But it has been a month or so since I first put the blueprint up and no one else has come back saying that anything is wrong, so I assume (hope) it works.

But I will do my best to help you solve your issue. Firstly, did you download the blueprint via Nexus mod manager or manually? With the mod manager, it should put the mod into a special Transfer Settlement Blueprints category which you need to click on and activate. If you’re manually installing the mod you need to unpack the files (using something like 7Zip) and place them in the relevant folder.

The directory should look something like this:
      Steam – Steam Apps – common – Fallout 4 – Data – F4SE – Plugins – Transfer Settlements – Blueprints

Once you get to that Blueprints folder, you might see other numbered folders if you use other blueprints. Right click to create a new folder, use a number that hasn’t already been used (I can’t remember how many slots you’re allowed to have, but between 1 and 8 is surely a safe bet). Then open that folder and copy the files from my blueprint.

Once you’re in-game you need the Transfer Settlement Blueprint Holotape (if you don’t have the Mod Configuration Menu option available to you). Enter Homeplate, open your Pip-Boy and choose the Import Settlements category and choose from the options. I think my blueprint is named something along the lines of ‘Lemur’s Homeplate Settlement’.

It is worth mentioning, however, that you make sure you have the Fallout 4 Script Extender up to date, as well as CDante’s Transfer Settlement Blueprints mod up to date as well. Those two are crucial.

I hope some of that is in some way useful to you – let me know if it works or not. Otherwise I’d recommend that you check out CDante’s mod page regarding how to import and use blueprints because the explanations there are undoubtedly a lot better than mine!
