Can you update this for DLC?

If you separated fire mode and receivers, and added different ammo loads(such as Hollow Point and Armor Piercing rounds), like Gunsmith Extended ( https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/14847 ), I'd switch over to this in a heartbeat.

It's hard to seperate the fire mode and receivers because the main way I've handled receivers is through fire rate and recoil and you can't really seperate fire rate from fire mode with the way Bethesda has it implemented. Different ammo loads could be cool but I think that would work better seperated from weapon mods into it's own thing like how New Vegas handled it. They're also to some degree handled by legendary weapon mods, maybe I'll make the legendary mod slot unhidden and allow the player to craft their own legendary mods.

Really? Because Gunsmith Extended managed to separate fire rate and fire mode.

I would love this if some of my favourite weapon mods were made compatible. It's a good idea, I would just never end up actually using it for the same reasons you said, there's too much of a focus on damage with the way gun mods are balanced in the vanilla game. I would always end up going for the weapons which do the most damage so I could get through fights without dying every time and then enemies using vanilla weapons would be disadvantaged because of their lack of damage.

This is great, thanks for making the mod.

I'm sure you know about Horizon and how popular it is - do you mind making an add-on for the Official Horizon Weapon pack and maybe a Horizon patch? Would make a nice complement.

I think I want to use this in FROST too. Will see if I can patch it myself.

I probably have in a lot of cases. I think the biggest problem with Fallout 4's gun mods is that there's rarely a reason to choose between different upgrades because there's usually one mod that obviously beats all the others and so I've made them more even by nerfing the best mods or replacing them with something else. I tried not to nerf certain values too much though and if I removed buffs in one place I tried to make up for it by putting them on other mods. Damage is what took the biggest hit, so you might have to lean harder on the damage buff perks.
