I feel like this could fit some sort of dystopian regime theme. Train a bunch of people to fight then stick them in cryosleep until they've got to kill something, then it's back to cryo.
Right, that would be an efficient and effective means of defense. A bunch of disoriented people suffering from hypothermia and frostbite whose environment keeps changing dramatically due to the lapses of consciousness associated with being frozen for years at a time. Much more effective than a standard guard rotation made up of people who know the area, the possible threats and who is friend or foe.
Hmmm, I'd like think they are injected with several chemical compounds before waking up, speeding up their adrenaline, metabolism, making them supersoldier for a few minutes before wearing off. Interesting concept.
Pretty Cool. Kinda sucks how I have to use a siren instead of just hitting E to open it... Also, would be cool if you could sit in it and go through the freezing all over again :)
You've no idea how long I've been looking for that and asking around xD
My first modded settlement had Professor Goodfeels assigned to a guard rug I'd put in a Protectron pod. But I don't use the job rugs anymore and I don't know what mod gave me the Protectron Pod anyway.
it should close when they sit, like the chairs in the memory lounge, if it isnt working, try fast traveling back and forth and see if that helps. Let me know if it works
Hey i’m having the same issue, also i have two of them available to build in the workshop, are they different somehow, or is one a duplicate? Also the terminal that appears in the pictures not there when i build it. I love the idea of the mod, and am hoping i can get it to work properly, any help would be greatly appreciated.
Edit: Also im your second ever endorser, which is kinda cool, so thanks for the mod, i’ve been looking for something like this forever. :)
There is a new version that should fix the duplicate pod issue. Let me know if that is fixed Sadly the terminal in the pictures are another mod that adds terminals and i built it there for aesthetics, right now there isn't anything i can do as the original switch is another item entirely (might see if i can add the vault switch to the workshop and build it yourself in an update, would probably need place anywhere mod if that's the case) Will look into why it isn't closing as it closes for me.
New Update!!! Should fix the door not closing bug but had to change the animation in order to do this. I've checked when an enemy is near, the guard cant see them, to fix this: add a siren nearby, when that is triggered the guard will come out and help out, siren turned off, guard goes back to sleep. Let me know if there are any other bugs or suggestions. Greatly appreciated
Depends what you'd like it to add, let me know and I'll see what i can do. it could be a chair but you wouldnt be able to talk to them as it is blocked untill they decide to come out.
Is it possible to have it be a bed? I know there's already a mod that does it, but the animations it uses are a normal bed so it breaks immersion whenever I walk by one and see a head poking out the bottom.
New Update!!!! Added a Cryo pod bed in the furniture/beds area. Finally those guys can have a nice nap Please Let me know if it works in your settlement
I've never needed to sink them into the floor to place, they should snap to the floor just fine. If you are having issues placing it I suggest using Place Anywhere Mod to ignore issues placing objects.
out of curiosity, what does the new script do exactly? Does it restrain the npc or is it "extended" settler work hours?
I'm asking 'cause i'm messing around with commands to force npc as settler, but as you may know it's impossible to assign a kellogg to a guard post... for more than a second. UNLESS the furniture actualy restrains the npc (like an execution chair, or prisoner shackles)
So you guessed it, I want to execute my revenge on kellogg by torturing/freezing him on regular basis. Is it feasable?
The script is built into the object, it basically tells the settlement that the settler wil use the object without a break or sleep. i think the restrain effect is the same thing thats how i got the idea, you would need another mod if you want to add npcs as settlers but im unaware of a settler adding system out there, would suggest using the synth production mod and copy kellog as a synth it'll look like him but have a different voice to interact as a settler but you coud imagine you've cryo frrozen him for your pleasure...
the trick is to add the npc to player faction and add workshopallowmove to select a home settlement then workshopallowcommand to make him assignable, but it only works for a second since you're not supposed to achieve this with a regular npc. Restraining bypasses that. I've achieved good results with the execution chair in loop with kellogg.
note: I'm using knockdown framework, and I messed around with pacify values so that everyone is pacifiable 100% of the time. All that so that I could get around getting the REAL kellogg to suffer. Not some synth/clone x) It took a few years, but modders made it possible (I don't think they're aware though)
They should do, same function as sitting in a chair. Edit: I've checked when an enemy is near, the guard cant see them, to fix this: add a siren nearby, when that is triggered the guard will come out and help out, siren turned off, guard goes back to sleep.

If preston can pawn off the duties of an entire militia on one sole survivor, imagine what multiple not-so-sole survivors could do
Automatrons assigned to it would look great.
