Pointless add-on imho. The calibres in-game are already real and are suitable for the weapons they're assigned to.
I wouldn't say"5.6mm" is suitable for a combat rifle, nor would I say it's even a real calibre, because it's not. The 'combat rifle' is supposed to resemble the PPSh-41 (SMG in 7.62- a pistol calibre.)
You're probably trying to mimic the 5.7x28mm round that the P90 uses, but you've not done so.

You should put your energy into a worthwhile mod- we need all the modders that we can get to make this game even more awesome, but this add-on isn't right.

It...really doesn't look like a PPSH-41, and that's beside the point since it's supposed to be a rifle. Not an SMG. There have been multiple mods going back to shortly after the game released that fix the Combat Rifle using a pistol caliber round. As for 5.6x35mmR, it is a real caliber but is more commonly known as .22 Hornet. It's -slightly- less effective than 5.56x45 and survival rifles chambered in it were issued to USAF pilots in the 40's/50's. Considering how pathetic the damage-per-shot of the Minigun and other 5mm guns is, I'd say it fits.

If you don't like the mod then just ignore it and go about your day, no need to be rude.

You know there IS an actual 5mm round, it's from Remington. Of course, it was only around for a few years in the 70's.

There are in fact a LOT of 5mm caliber rounds, one of which is 5.56x45mm. 5mm is, for the most part, a caliber designation and not usually the given name for a round. There are a few '5mm' rounds such as 5mm Craig and 5 mm/35 SMc but neither are military cartridges and wouldn't make sense for then to be used by a minigun. Even the ammo box for 5mm rounds in-game has 7.62x51 written on it which is obviously not what it's shooting since the minigun does *horrible* per-shot damage.

Something like 5.6x35mmR is a good real-world analog for a round that doesn't seem to actually exist since it fits with the performance the round has in the game. And for reference, this is what 5.6x35mmR looks like. https://image.sportsmansguide.com/adimgs/l/7/71339m2_ts.jpg
