LooooooL That video was sooo funny, Hunter, Love that funny little gun you were using, even tho its only got 5-6 shots per round in it , what is it ? Loved how you switched to classical music after raider radio went off the air , I'm always like , " ahhhhh, finally " heheh
@MrGold8 Sorry, I actually don't know. Technically, I've done most of the things I want already so I'm mostly just fixing bugs and stuff, but since I don't really get to spend much time modding anymore, the development is slow.
@jaderiver It's from the mod called Courser Crusher: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/24981 I installed a bunch of institute related mods to make the video a bit cooler, so that's the first time I've used that gun. I thought it was weird lol.
Don't you think it might be a good idea to explain not to have this mod enabled if you are doing the Raider quests and intend on doing Power Play? It literally breaks the Power Play Quest where you automatically fail it when you kill the Raider Boss who turned on you as it causes the other Bosses to turn hostile and fires the Open Season quest I mean for real man if you ain't gonna fix it, then at least explain the workaround to the problem.
If you load this mod after triggered open season, open your console and type this:
help "Nuka World Command Radio" 4
Then you should be able to get a string of code that is the "reference ID"
Simply fill it into this : player.additem referenceID 1 and you'll get that.
It is a bug that when you play "Power Play" with this enabled you will be considered hostile as soon as you kill your target. Simply disable it until you get through that and then get your holotape again by typing commands above.
[Edit] Hell, dude I've found the ultimate solution. If you enable this mod after open season and you have passed through Power Play, TYPE THESE BELOW:
resetquest xx0018D9
setstage xx0018D9 10
(Ps: xx is the order of this mod when loading it) and then you'll find you have reset "The Battle for Nuka World" quest and you start it again. The holotape is given too. Enjoy!
For some bizarre reason the Minutemen army does not spown for me, altough everything else worked as you discribed
EDIT: Just read ronnymcronny´s comment, now I get why it does not work...... Isn´t there a way to manually execute the spawn command or to reset the progress of Powerplay?
I got to the stage, "Better refreshment," and that's where it stalls. No option for Power Play. Went to the power plant and got the power running but now the Nuka Express is non functional. Not sure if I just missed something or its a glitch. Please help. Ignore this post, I'm stupid. I see what I did wrong, I didn't do Power Play yet from Swank and just started taking Open Season. Derp.
UPDATE: Tried a new strategy and the same problem unfortunately. Turned the power back on and the Nuka Express back to the Commonwealth is still unpowered. Thinking of just using the COC command to get back. UPDATE 2: Just decided to start the DLC all over again only difference is I'll have it active before doing Open Season. Something tells me that's where the issue is, that initially running through was causing some odd glitches with the intro as well. For one the room before talking to Porter Gage had an inviso wall for some reason, had to use console commands to proceed. I'm guessing that's where the problem started.
God bless you. The mod breaks powerplay, and it didnt work for me even with the patch mod. I found that disabling this temporarily to complete power play and then turning it back on worked, but broke the main attack quest. This has fixed it. Cheers
March 2025: Mod works extremely well as long as you have the "Minutemen Take Over Nuka World Bugfix" mod by Myrystyr. I use "Buffed Minutemen Milita" by Dragonovith to make it a fair fight. I took the 50 minutemen option and directly attacked the front gate in my first attempt. The Nuka Raiders will melt through your reinforcements even with buffs and while I sniped from a distance. I managed to take the rest of the park with ZERO crashes even though I did not enable the corpse remove option. I would highly recommend you either take a higher number of Minutemen (with corpse remover), OR you lay landmines at the front gate and sneak in and take out Mason and Shank (they have an insane amount of HP) and when your being chased out the front gate you radio in to "commence the attack" so your forces crash into the raiders as they advance (I did this on my second attempt and it worked really well about 11 out of my 50 men survived). Once all the gangs are cleared out and you complete "Open Season" you'll be able to "secure the park" and within 24 in game hours the park will be populated with Minutemen and Wasteland Travelers, so the park feels alive and vibrant once again. Overall 10/10 mod and is a must have in my load order.
Dunno where to put this officially, so I will put this here.
For the people that can't complete the quest "Brand New Refreshment" even after completing the final objective, type this into the console: completequest xx01a3ec (The xx refers to the load order of the mod.)
Hope this helps y'all out for whoever else wants to try out this awesome mod.
Am a bit of a noob when it comes to modding, how do you determine the load order number of the mod? Unless I'm misunderstanding that, in which case feel free to correct me
This mod works shockingly well with the NCR minuteman overhaul, going the extra mile and replacing the raiders armour with legion also helped sell it and created a very fun experince! Thanks for that!
The takeover of Nuka Town works fine on xbox, and the enclave replace the raiders there like normal with the AR2 patch. However, the next quest to take over the other parks (better refreshment?) stalls after using the radio again to summon the enclave/MM. It says to wait a day for them to arrive, but none ever show up, at the gate or at the parks, after days of waiting.
Wasn't that supposed to be fixed, or do we need to clear the parks first and/or assign raiders there before we can use the enclave/MM to 're-take' them?
If anyone has made it that far and it worked, please explain how you managed to re-take the parks with them and close out the last quest.

Btw, what mod are those spiffy synth outfits?
